The Hidden Jewel

Waking up in this house felt like stepping into a dream. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully designed, warm, and inviting in every corner, but what truly takes your breath away is the view. Each morning begins with a stunning "amanecer", as the sky slowly fills with soft colors and light pours into the house in the most peaceful way. It’s the kind of place that makes you pause, take a deep breath, and just be present. Everything about the experience feels calm, intentional, and special. Without a doubt, it’s a place you’ll remember long after you leave.

We loved this little bit of paradise in the jungle. We loved being just outside the town so we could enjoy quiet mornings and evenings. The house had everything we needed for our stay and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was great at night. We loved the jungle sounds we were amazed how few bugs there were. Tom’s welcome note had everything we needed and was well thought out for people new to Costa Rica. Thank you!

This was an amazing stay. We all slept really well and were so comfortable the whole time. It’s one of those airbnbs that’s much nicer in real life than the photos in my opinion. Everything feels so well thought out and high quality. The pool was a great size for us. The outdoor shower under the stars is something else. The one thing that stood out was how well hosted we felt from start to finish. Tom sent a bunch of helpful messages before we came. When we arrived, a lovely woman named Evelyn met us even though it was as late-ish, and walked us through the entire house and showed us around, and was very patient with my kids who were absolutely freaking out with excitement about how amazing the house was. My regret is that we didn’t stay longer, and that started with this house, rather than having it be the finale of our trip. It’s a tough act to follow!

The property was only a five minute drive to Samara for easy access to groceries, restaurants, shops, beach, etc. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the property with incredible views, peacefulness, privacy and wildlife sightings. The lounging area by the pool was our favorite area with lots of shade and comfortable breeze. It is truly a hidden jewel!

Wow! Tellement une belle maison! Tout était parfait. La maison est spacieuse , propre et très bien équipée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le matériel pour la plage la piscine et la douche extérieure. L’emplacement est merveilleux ! La plus belle vue que l’on peut avoir! C’était génial de prendre notre café le matin avec la vue et le son de singes hurleur. Les enfants ont adoré voir les singes, les grosses iguanes, les mantes religieuse , le coati , les sauterelles géantes! La maison est bien situé à seulement 5 minutes en voiture du beau centre ville de Samara. Nous recommandons chaudement ce logement! Le calme et la vue de la maison nous manque déjà !

Un domaine incroyable !! l’endroit est paradisiaque, une superbe maison avec une vue à couper le souffle. À 5 minutes de Samara, tout est à proximité. Nous espérons y revenir un jour. 🌞🇨🇷💙🤍❤️

We spent four nights at this lovely house in the hills above Samara I have a lot of good things to say about this place. We were looking for a place with monkeys and this definitely delivers. Enjoyed the view and the comfortable king bed. The kids enjoyed the second bedroom that also had a king bed My only real complaint about our stay is related to howler monkeys. I think if you decide to stay in the rainforest or in the woods like this, you have to be ready for morning awakenings from the monkeys. I’d have to say all four mornings. I woke up too early because of them. Then again, monkeys on property was one of our must have and that’s why I gave it a five star. In the master, would love to have window coverings that cover the whole window, which would also help with early awakenings. The views are great and it’s less than five minutes drive to town I used the services of “book with Maria” for a boating tour and in-house massage. The communication was pretty good.

We have been in Costa Roca for a month. I am so grateful we stayed here for our last week. This house is like something out a a magazine—so beautiful, real king beds, great room for kids, amazing views, nice sized pool and so peaceful with our private jungle views. This house is clean and very close to town—just a few minutes away. I also wished we would have read through Tom’s recommendations under the about the house. Great ideas for beaches and activities. There were some ants but we texted Maria and she sent some bug spray that worked very well. Best stay out of our houses in the Osa peninsula, Quepos, La Fortuna, and Playa Hermosa. Loved this house!!!!
