The Space

Our cozy loft rooms have been carefully designed to offer a comfortable and practical environment for guests who prioritize adventure and exploration. These rooms are accessible via a spiral staircase located above the shared living area. They are ideal for solo travelers or those who spend most of their time exploring the surroundings.

Please note that the loft rooms may not be suitable for guests who are sensitive to noise or have difficulty climbing stairs. Other room types are available and listed on my profile.

Villa Ave del Paraíso is a charming seven-bedroom bed and breakfast situated just a three-minute walk from the sun and surf of Playa Avellanas. The guest rooms are arranged in a U-shape around a peaceful outdoor pool, which is complemented by wooden lounge chairs and hammocks perfect for enjoying the warmth of the Guanacaste sun.

The communal living room and kitchen provide a welcoming space to connect with fellow travelers or relax with a drink or a movie on the large TV. The fully equipped kitchen contains everything needed to prepare your own lunches and dinners, while we start your mornings with a complimentary vegetarian breakfast.

For those interested in mindfulness and relaxation, a thatched palapa offers an ideal setting for yoga practice or workouts.

Parking is available outside the stone wall on the gravel driveway. Room cleaning is provided for stays of four or more nights. Additional services such as surf lessons, yoga classes, massages, activities, and airport transfers can be arranged for an extra fee.

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive use of their private room and bathroom, along with shared access to the kitchen, living room, pool, outdoor seating areas, and yoga palapa.

Other Things to Note

1. Laundry service is offered at $20 per load (wash, dry, and fold).

2. Water, electricity, and internet outages are common in this part of Costa Rica due to unforeseen circumstances. While we strive to ensure a comfortable stay, uninterrupted water, power, and wireless internet cannot be guaranteed. Each room is equipped with emergency flashlights for guest safety, and we maintain an emergency water tank for short water outages.

3. Our location, surrounded by lush vegetation and just one block from the shoreline, may lead to encounters with native animals, insects, and plants that are part of the local ecosystem. We recommend keeping doors and windows closed, using insect repellent, and avoiding leaving food out to reduce the chance of attracting unwanted wildlife.

4. Although we take precautions to protect guests and their belongings, we cannot be held responsible for theft, loss, or damage during your stay. We advise guests to:

   • Lock all doors and windows when leaving the room or property.

   • Use the in-room safe or front desk safe for valuables such as cash, passports, and electronics.

   • Avoid leaving valuables unattended on the beach, in public areas, or in vehicles.

   • Stay aware of surroundings and avoid walking alone at night.

   Guests should keep copies of important documents in a secure place and report any theft, loss, or suspicious activity to our staff immediately.

5. Most restaurants accept credit cards, but we recommend withdrawing cash from an ATM before driving to Avellanas. The nearest ATM is located at the JW Marriott, about a 15-minute drive away. For those preparing their own meals, it is advisable to stop at large grocery stores in Villareal or Paraíso en route to Avellanas. Within Avellanas, there is a small market called Surya Natural Market offering natural and organic products, though with limited variety, and a mini market selling basic groceries across from The Point.

6. We are dedicated to reducing our ecological footprint while maintaining guest comfort through the following practices:

   • Avoidance of single-use plastics

   • Provision of refillable biodegradable toiletries (hand wash, body wash, shampoo) from the Costa Rican company Florex

   • Installation of bidets in every toilet to minimize single-use paper consumption

   • Onsite compost bin to reduce landfill waste

   • Vegetarian breakfast

   • Use of reusable napkins

   • Room cleaning only for stays longer than four days to conserve water and energy

We encourage guests to support these efforts by turning off lights and air conditioning when not in the room and placing bottles and cans in the recycling bin located in the kitchen.
