Our stay at Rancho Ramar was unforgettable! If you’re looking to unplug and experience the quieter side of Costa Rica, this is the perfect place. The remote location is part of its charm. It takes a little extra effort to get there, but it’s absolutely worth it. One of our favorite memories was the incredible wildlife. Iguanas would visit us by the pool to bask in the sun, and we watched a family of howler monkeys, including two adorable babies, in the trees. It felt like we were truly immersed in nature. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, and the hospitality made us feel right at home. After exploring the beautiful beaches around Playa Coyote, it was the perfect place to relax each evening. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about our next visit. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise!

We thought the home was absolutely beautiful. The pool, the palms, and the ocean was picture perfect. The beds were very comfortable with the AC in each room. Kept it cool when in the house. The outdoor kitchen is perfect for cooking. Would love to go back. All 6 of us loved our vacation time at this beautiful home. Jose was extremely easy to work with as Airbnb host and Ervin and Everling were awesome onsite hosts.

Our extended family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our stay in paradise at Joe’s home! The innkeepers were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating (you will need to use Google Translate if you are not fluent in Spanish to communicate with them). The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious. The amazing pool and Rancho bar area was our favorite place to hang. Having the gorgeous, basically private beach directly out your back door was definitely the best part! The sunsets cannot be beat! We also enjoyed exploring the area (you will definitely need a 4x4 vehicle), and eating at El Barco Restaurant a few times, which is just down the road. Do not book this if you’re looking for an exhilarating, adventure/excursion packed trip, but if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the true Pura Vida lifestyle, this is definitely your place! Thank you, Joe, and innkeepers for a memorable week in paradise!

Fantastic place for a family vacation. The pool area is excellent, and we absolutely loved the BBQ and bar space. The sunsets were unforgettable, and Coyote Beach is one of my favorite beaches in Costa Rica—having it so close was a real treat. Silvia and Mauricio, the innkeepers, were outstanding hosts. Everything was perfectly taken care of, and nothing was left to chance. They were always attentive, proactive, and truly on top of every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Perfect place to get away for the holidays. It was large enough for our whole family and the inn keeper they have hired to look after the property was extremely helpful with getting a fishing trip setup for us while here. We look forward to staying at Jose's again. Thanks Jose!

This place is great. Our host Jose Luis was always responsive and helpful. Mauricio and Sylvia at the house were always willing to help with whatever we needed. We did have Sylvia cook and it worked out well. We opted to have her get the groceries before we got there. Being able to relax and not worrying about cooking for everyone was a real bonus. We went fishing with the local fisherman. We caught fish and got pretty close to some whales too. Massages can be procured at the house and are wonderful. We did the horseback riding at the beach and it was very enjoyable too. We took a day to go to Samara, it was a lot of driving, very touristy, but there are beautiful beaches along the way. The unpopulated beach at the house is amazing. The waves were a little too big for the senior citizens to get in, but the teenagers loved it. The house and pool were spacious and clean. There are small grocery stores about 15 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again.

An amazing house on a beautiful beach we really enjoyed it. Mauricio and Sylvia were fantastic supporting our needs. Sylvia cooked dinner for us every night and Mauricio made sure our horseback riding and fishing trips went great.

Pura vida at its max. Pure relaxation, comfort, safety. Zeidy’s food absolute perfection, the kids kept saying it wasn’t even real, calling it dream food. Pool is bigger than what the pictures show, beach wonderful, restaurant down the road a neat little touch for a dinner. We got horses and massages right at the house. The team is fantastic and Jose was wonderful to line it all up. Our private driver that Jose arranged was just wonderful and accommodating to any needs. We would give 10 stars if we could, just like other reviews. Stay here. Or don’t, which will clear up more space in the calendar for us to come back :) :)
