The stay at this seaside home is simply excellent! Juan José, the host, is very friendly and always attentive. The house is beautiful and very close to everything, very well-organized and clean, it's a spacious place, and it feels like home. We had a wonderful time and would certainly stay there again. Totally recommended! 5/5

We had a wonderful stay. Thank you, Juan! The house is perfect for groups big or small. Lots of space. Clean and comfortable. The roof deck is idea for sunsets and morning coffee. I highly recommend that a stay here.

Getting to the property was actually a nightmare as we traveled late at night and GPS coordinates did not lead right to property but real problem was the abysmal condition of the roads which had huge pot holes and were overflowing with standing water, our two wheel drive vehicle was stuck and thankfully finally made it through. The Host was kind enough to send the property manager to guide us out of the quagmire and back to the house and we eventually made it but it was quite a harrowing trip. Recommend including information suggesting that a 4 wheel drive vehicle is necessary. We left early due to condition of roads and accessibility concerns. The host was very polite and professional and kindly agreed to refund 50% of the funds we had paid.

We very much enjoyed our weekend at Juan Jose's beach house! It's in a great location in Popoyo and there are a few good restaurants and bars within close walking distance. There are plenty of other locals and surfers walking around as well. The house is right across the road from the beach so access is easy. At the beach walk north and there are some fantastic surfing/bodyboarding locations. We also rode horses at sunset along the beach for about an hour and a half. In the evenings we enjoyed hanging out on the roof deck. Overall, the house was perfect for us.

Great location at Santana Beach. Walking distance to many restaurants, beach and market. Huge and AC in bedrooms was awesome. Highly recommend

Juan José is an excellent host. His property is perfect for family stays, with all areas of the house thoughtfully designed. The home offers ample space for family activities indoors, and the beach is just a few meters away, featuring easy and secure access. Communication with Juan José and Félix was consistently smooth. We are certain to return very soon. Congratulations to the hosts, Juan José and his wife Sandy.

Juan Jose had a perfect beach house, beautifully decorated and a prime location! My husband and 2 teenage boys loved the place! There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We had to alter the reservation dates due to a family emergency and Juan was so gracious to allow us to do so. He was kind and accommodating. This is a great house, host, & destination you will not be disappointed!

The place is great, offers plenty of space and is almost right on the beach. However, it is only suitable for swimming at certain times when the waves do not reach the stones, which I would consider dangerous. There are some very good restaurants within walking distance. If you like to cook in the well-equipped kitchen yourself, you should bring food beforehand. The nearby shopping facilities are not suitable for varied nutrition. The pans and pots also have severe damage to the coatings. We were rather reluctant to cook in it. Drinking water is available in a dispenser, which is very nice. Unfortunately, there were very, and I emphasize very frequent, power outages and lack of tap water. You have to be able to come to terms with that in the area. All in all, however, we liked the stay very much, as everything was clean, spacious and close to the beach.

We had so much fun at Juan’s home. It’s perfectly located by the beach and near multiple surf breaks. The kitchen had everything needed to eat in and cook, and the rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Juan was very responsive to questions or needs and respected our privacy. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the Popoyo/Santana area
