As so many others have said, this is an incredible space to get world class sunsets and immerse yourself right in nature while being 30 minutes from some of the best beaches near Tamarindo (Playa Conchal and Avellanas were the favorites ). The howler monkeys and Parakeets visited each morning and night , the freshwater pool was great to cool off after the days adventures , and the space is perfectly appointed to settle in and rejuvenate. We made a few day trips (Le Leona Waterfall ) and couldn’t think of a better location close enough to Liberia airport but far enough to get into the heart of the Pacific Costa Pure Vida .

Stunning surroundings! The infinity pool was amazing, breathtaking views with spectacular sunsets, visits by howler monkeys, many birds and other local fauna. Very well maintained property inside and out and nicely appointed with great layout. Pastora was wonderful! She provided a large list of local recommendations. She was also very responsive to every inquiry we had, basically above and beyond. The house is so beautiful and comfortable that It was hard for us to leave to the beaches or restaurants!

We had an amazing stay here. The property is beautiful—lush, thoughtfully designed, and with incredible views. It feels private and peaceful, yet it’s only about a 10-minute drive to Tamarindo and all the beaches and restaurants. The perfect balance. What truly made the experience special was Pastora. She was outstanding—responsive, kind, and incredibly helpful. When I accidentally drained my rental car battery, she immediately sent her husband to help. She also quickly resolved a safe issue and arranged for the bedroom to have a proper lock. Daily tidying was a great touch. A couple small notes: you’ll definitely want a 4WD vehicle, especially in rain—the drive up is steep. And bring bug spray for the evenings since it’s an open-air design. Overall, a fantastic experience. Beautiful property, secure gated setting, and exceptional hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again.

Un havre de paix au calme à 10 minutes de Tama. Nous avons été accueilli par les singes hurleurs, nos filles de 4 et 7 ans n’en pouvaient plus. Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses ainsi que les salles de bain à moitié en extérieur. La cuisine, la piscine, le coin salon, la terrasse, face a la magnifique vue… nous avons adoré notre séjour à Cimatela. Il faut vraiment un 4*4 (4WD SUV nous avions) pour monter mais ça dure 100 mètres, ça se fait bien! Cimatela porte bien son nom, il y a plus d’air qu’en bas et s’en ai que plus reposant, rafraîchissant après une journée au bord de l’eau. C’était une base parfaite pour explorer les alentours et toutes ces belles plages. Et enfin, un grand merci à Pastora qui nous a accueilli parfaitement! Foncez!!! Pura Vida

Lovely place! Amazing views! Magical sunsets!

We choose that location because of the sunsets. We were rewarded. Beds are comfortable. A/c working great. The kitchen has the minimum basics. Pool is nice and refreshing. No beach accessories. Pastora and Mario are great hosts.

Pastora was an amazing host—kind, welcoming, and incredibly thoughtful. She made my stay in Costa Rica feel special and stress-free, and the place was spotless and comfortable. One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!

Wir waren mit unseren drei Kindern (6 Monate, 4 und 6 Jahre) vor Ort und es war der perfekte Abschluss unserer dreiwöchigen Costa-Rica-Reise. Viele haben diese Unterkunft bereits gelobt, daher kurz das Wichtigste: Wir waren uns erst unsicher wegen der Auffahrt ohne Allrad, hatten nur einen normalen SUV mit Frontantrieb. Völlig ausreichend! Die letzten Meter hochzufahren kostet beim ersten Mal etwas Überwindung, ist danach aber gut machbar. Und notfalls parkt man unten und geht hoch. Die Unterkunft ist ein absoluter Traum, sehr gut ausgestattet und wir wurden sogar mit frischem Obst überrascht. Vom Infinity-Pool aus konnten wir beeindruckend die Tiere beobachten inkl. Affen. Am letzten Abend haben wir es versäumt, nach dem Essen alles aufzuräumen und die Glastür zusätzlich zur Fliegentür zu schließen. Prompt hatten wir Besuch von fünf neugierigen Waschbären :) Wir waren schon zweimal in Costa Rica und würden definitiv wieder hierher zurückkehren. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wow, mais quel endroit magnifique au milieu de la faune avec une vue incroyable sur les montagnes mais a quelque minutes de la ville. Que dire du logement, c'était tres beau, bien ammenager avec la piscine incroyable! Une tres belle experience et Pastora était toujous disponible pour nous.
