Casa Bamboo

We loved our stay at Casa Bamboo. It was relaxing and beautiful. Felt like paradise. Great location for a relaxing vacation surrounded by nature.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Bamboo! It’s such an amazing property in the middle of rainforest. To be surrounded by nature was such an experience. We saw more animals than in 2 parks we visited. Monkeys (very cheeky, came to seating area to look around), sloth, agouti, blue butterflies every morning, lizards and iguanas, birds, even “honey bear” every evening after dark on the tree above swimming pool. The house is equipped with everything you need, 2 kitchens (downstairs and upstairs), 4 bedrooms with AC, but the best part is the seating area upstairs overlooking swimming pool and rainforest. Just amazing! Laura, our housekeeper was great, always attentive and welcoming. Susan, the concierge, was very helpful and knowledgeable, gave us good advice and suggestions in regards to shops, restaurants, market, parking etc. Scott, the owner was also checking on us, which we appreciated. The house is close to Manuel Antonio park (10 min drive) and various beaches and activities.

The place you want for a gorgeous and peaceful rainforest stay close to town. It offers a beautiful Spanish villa setting tucked away deep into the rainforest only a few minutes from downtown Quepos that seems to turn off most if not all city sounds, especially early in the morning and later in the evening so you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature right off your balcony and pool. We had all sorts of monkeys, pezotes, birds, lizards and butterflies constantly gracing us with their presence. We couldn’t get enough of the open air living and dining room located at the back of the second floor balcony. While only the bedrooms have AC, tons of ceiling fan and a bit of imagination allowed us to have cooler areas to enjoy during the hotter and muggier periods of the day. Also, the pool enjoys tons of shade in the afternoon when the sun is high due to the thick canopy around the house. Casa Bamboo is a wonderful home away from home! The concierge, Susan, was very helpful and responsive - she showed up 5 minutes after we discovered the keys were locked inside the house to rescue us! Being completely surrounded by the rainforest was an amazing experience. We were visited by monkeys, we saw a sloth in the tree, and we listened to the sounds of howler monkeys at sunrise and sunset. The housekeepers did an amazing job of keeping everything clean, including laundry, so it felt like a true vacation. Maybe important to know - the house is at the bottom of a very steep neighborhood. We had no trouble getting taxis to come to us. But if you want to take the bus to town, I believe you have to walk to the top of the neighborhood, which was prohibitive for my in-laws. The rest of us made it fine, and there is a great spot just outside the neighborhood with restaurants and a souvenir shop. A few minute drive to beautiful beaches and many adventurous activities. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home & separate casita was perfect for our 3 generation family reunion. We played in the pool everyday & enjoyed the pool table as well. The open air concept works here, with the fans blowing its comfortable even in rainy season. Beds were comfortable & it was nice to see cotton sheets instead of the microfiber- hot & sticky. Bathroom had the essentials. Glad there was an outdoor shower by the pool & plenty of towels for everyone and even took them to the beach. Susan our concierge is super helpful. Knows everyone in town and had good recommendations. The cleaning staff & grounds/ pool maintenance was also professional and kind. Enjoyed laundry service! We love coming to Costa Rica because the people are happy, friendly & helpful The kitchen island had plenty of barstools for kids to sit and eat or chat & the dining table had 10 chairs. Enough for everyone. Saw monkeys,bird, butterflies & lizards. Missed the sloth here but saw one at the beach. Pura Vida!

Incredible house with all the luxuries listed. Concierge service and every resource available at your finger tips. It made our special trip just that more special. We loved sitting on the lanai and see the monkeys and sloth in their natural environment. Great place to stay with a larger family or a group of friends. Plenty of space for all.

This was a fantastic home. It was very peaceful and welcoming. Such fabulous landscaping all around. Susan made all our arrangements so we didn't have to lift a finger. We did three of the tours that were recommended and they were top notch. Laura the housekeeper was such a treat for us. It was so nice not having to do dishes and being able to return from a vacation with not all the laundry to do! We would absolutely stay here again if returning to CR.

Just lovely place. Fit the six of us very well, and after a day full of activities, it was the perfect place to come home too serene and yet close to everything, plenty of places to be social, the pool was amazing, and we all loved it! Highly recommend

Place was amazing. We had a group of 8 and rented both main house and casita, and both were fantastic. Scott gave us great recommendations and communicated very well. Susan was there to greet us and she was wonderful, before and during our stay. Laura was extremely nice and helpful! Chefs Roberto and Alexandro were amazing as well, dinner was one of the best we had. Our entire group had such a great time we are definitely considering coming back soon. Dozens of squirrel monkeys visited us one morning which was an added fun bonus.

The perfect house for our annual family getaway! Everything was spotless and the wildlife really put in a show for us while we were there! Lots of monkeys, a resident sloth & tucans. Scott and his team were amazingly helpful, attentive. House keeping was amazing and the chef we had come in and cook us dinner a couple of nights was just superb. Exceeded all expectations. Pure Vida!!!
