The stay was amazing. The lodge is pretty and fitting to the environment. The lodges and their surroundings are simply an immacular vibe. And the view is out of this world, when the sun shines but also when thunders and lighting fill the sky. Sleeping with suddle rain or intense jungle thunderstorm was something one may dream for ages to come. If you plan to visit, consider staying for a few days more, rather than 2-3. There is so many activities and places to be, which brings me to my next point. The host, Sid, is an almost all-knowing, interesting and likeable character. He shows and knows tipps and tricks to get around. You can even get there with a simple 2x4 car but having one definitely isn‘t a disadvantage.

Highly highly recommend the Pacific Edge Eco Lodge! Aside from the most AMAZING view, you will get great hospitality from the owners. Our stay here was nothing short of incredible; (delicious breakfast, peaceful grounds, great location - close to both beaches and waterfalls, friendly and helpful service). We will definitely be visiting here again!!

We had an awesome 2 night stay at Pacific Edge Eco Lodge. Sid and Micha were excellent hosts that really made us feel welcome and comfortable. The lodging is really nice, rustic but with modern, upscale touches. Wood cabins that have character and charm and all with private decks. One amazing feature were the incredibly comfortable beds and linens. The coffee in the room was excellent. The view cannot be beat! They have a gorgeous observatory deck, nothing standing between you and the stunning ocean sunsets other than the dense jungle below. The photos barely do it justice. The pool seemed like it would be great for keeping cool and relaxing after a day of adventure, but we didn’t take advantage as we were waterlogged from the beach and rivers. There is secure parking and a safe in the room to protect wallets and passports and other small items. I think it could fit a laptop. The wifi worked just fine. The grounds felt very secure with fencing and cameras. The layout of the villas is private although they are in close proximity to one another. The way they are positioned in tiers makes you feel like your neighbor can’t eavesdrop on your vacation. We didn’t hear any of our neighbors. There are kitchenettes with a small refrigerator and all the tools needed to prepare a basic meal or else you can order from their restaurant. We only had smoothies and toast(just right) as we were on the go, but Sid and Micha both have extensive service experience and I get the feeling that anything that comes out of their kitchen would be as polished as their customer service. They both carry the pura vida approach to hosting which is not always the case in these coastal towns; arrive when you can, come as you please, if we can help we will and communicate quickly. We fully enjoyed hearing about their journey that brought them to this gem of a location in Costa Rica. We found ourselves talking at length about various topics, enjoying their company as if they were old friends. Their approach to hosting is warm and charming and feels like they have been doing this for decades. We can’t wait to come back!! One last thing: the wildlife. We were surrounded by an incredible variety of birds, including toucans. If you give yourself the time to be quiet and listen, you will be amazed at all the sounds provided from the canopy below. In addition, we were among howlers one morning (literally howling outside our window), saw dozens of butterflies and and the cutest lizards..and were treated to bio luminescence (glowing algae) one evening in the surf of the nearest beach, Dominicalito. We could not have asked for more magic. Thank you for being our home for two nights, and for all the kindness, understanding, smiles, and laughter!

Where do I even begin?! I got so lucky stumbling on the listing for this dreamy b&b while planning a *very* last minute trip to Costa Rica. The new owners have been staying at Pacific Edge as guests themselves for over a decade and recently purchased the property when the founding owners retired. We had the lovely honor of being their first guests!! Micha and Sid were SO kind, so welcoming, and so thrilled to have us! It was my first time coming to CR and I literally had less than a week to put everything in to motion - they told us where to rent a car, where to stop for food on our way down, how to do the COVID testing for our return trip, among other great recommendations during our stay. The cabins were so perfect - they are open air so we went to sleep with the hum of the jungle and woke up to the deep growls of local howler monkeys in the nearby valley. I watched the parrots flit and squawk in the mornings while I drank my coffee on the porch. The view of Dominical and Dominicalito Beaches are hard to beat - especially at sunset. See what the surf is doing before you even put your suit on! The rooms come with enough appliances to have what we needed for snacks, early morning coffee, and keeping beers cold! Sid makes a killer breakfast that was so convenient on the days when we we either moving slow or had to run out and wouldn’t have time to stop in town. There isn’t a thing I would change about our stay there. They are in the process of updating some features around the property and I can’t wait to get back and see how they make it their own. Don’t pass up a chance to stay here! Thank you again Sid and Micha!
