The Space
This three-bedroom, two-bathroom condo is perfectly situated in the heart of town, directly across from Tamarindo Beach. From the terrace, you can hear the soothing sound of waves crashing. Located in the Sunrise gated community, this 1,600 square foot, second-floor unit offers both luxury and convenience.
The condo features brand new furnishings throughout. The master bedroom includes a king-size bed and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be converted into a king bed upon request. The third bedroom contains a queen bed. The property comfortably accommodates up to six guests.
A travel crib is available upon request through our concierge team, subject to availability and an additional fee.
The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, wood cabinetry, and all necessary utensils and cookware. A private washer and dryer are also included.

Guests have access to a large resort-style pool featuring a cascading waterfall and ample space to relax.
As a welcome gift, guests receive a complimentary basket containing coffee, coffee filters, salt, sugar, cooking oil, and shampoo/soaps. The condo is also stocked with beach towels, folding beach chairs, a cooler, and other useful items for your stay.
For security purposes, the person who made the reservation must present identification at check-in. We appreciate your cooperation.

Sunrise 2 was the perfect location for our stay in Tamarindo. The unit had almost everything we needed and was very clean when we arrived. Kitchen was well furnished with newer utensils and pots/pans. The patio was comfortable with lots of room and overlooked the pool. The beds were comfortable. It was nice to have shampoo/conditioner/bodywash in both bathrooms. Beach towels and beach chairs were great to have as well as a washer/dryer. Such a great location with easy access to the beach and the pool. Restaurants were within a few minute walk and grocery stores not too far away. The local monkeys could be heard and spotted right out our door on some mornings. We would definitely consider renting this unit again.

Here is the short version. On day one we didn't have A/C. Messaging with the host was very delayed. Up to 12 hours or more. I will say it was out of their 8-5 window but if they are aware of a problem(which they were) they should have been checking on us more frequently. A/C had to be replaced, they offered for us to leave to a different unit for 2 days then would have to move back for the last day, nice offer but that is a lot for a family of 6 and being there only 4 days made that unappealing. It was a larger fix then planned, other appliances were turned off and not turned back on. More unanswered messages. Like I said this is the short version. All in all, after a call to Airbnb we did get the attention that was needed. They took care of us in the end with some compensation. The pool is nice, the location is excellent, the unit is clean. The staff were nice even with all the complications. We would maybe stay again. Too early to tell. They just need to improve communication.

Broken air conditioner on our return 6:30 p.m. call and texted the emergency numbers no return before the next morning… one night at 33 degrees = (without sleep for us) we were not even offered compensation $600 a night. The difference between Airbnb and a hotel...

Location was perfect for us. Right across from the beach and easy walk to many restaurants and shops. Bathrooms could use swim updating and a paint job.

Alejandro and BlueZone helped us out on short notice after our other accommodations were not suitable. Very grateful for helping us save our vacation. The condo was perfect and exactly as advertised. Excellent and responsive hosts!

Overall, we were extremely happy with the apartment and the communication with Alejandro's team. The location was perfect: close to the beach, but quiet (not near loud music or bars). The kitchen is nicely laid out, and we cooked a lot to mitigate the out of control pricing in Tamarindo (restos=California $). The only reason I didn't rate a 5* is because the wifi was intermittent, the electricity (in the building?) went out twice, and we weren't able to get the bbq to work. However, those things aside, this place is very good.
