This casita, completed in 2020, is one of four at El Puesto Del Sol and is known as Casita #4. Nestled in the beautiful Tola region, it sits on a small cliff with stunning views of both Playa Amarillo & Playa Gigante, both just a short walk away. Playa Amarillo is a fantastic surf spot, while Playa Gigante offers its own charm. Though a 4x4 is recommended for reaching the top, you can also park further down & walk up. It’s the perfect escape for those seeking nature, relaxation, and adventure. The space This is our largest casita, offering double the space of the others while providing the same stunning views of two beaches. Your casita is solidly built and features a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, including a large dining table. At the end of the kitchen, you'll find a spotless bathroom. A wooden, steep staircase leads up to the bedroom - please note there’s no handrail, so it’s best to take care when going up and down. The expansive, light-filled bedroom on the second floor boasts a big ceiling fan, and a huge private terrace just for you. There are also two windows in the bedroom, facing east toward Playa Gigante and west toward Playa Amarillo, offering breathtaking views of both the sunrise over the jungle and the sunset over the sea. Plus, thanks to the constant breeze, the space stays comfortably cool. Outside, there's a paved area in front of the casita overlooking a sea cliff with gorgeous, panoramic views of Playa Amarillo and Playa Colorado. The sunsets here are absolutely unreal—perfect to enjoy with neighbors, friends, or a cold drink in hand. Playa Amarillo is known for its fun surf break, and the vibe in both the water and village is always friendly. You can buy fresh mahi-mahi, caught the same day, at great prices and grill it up for dinner, with fresh fruit for dessert. Though it's tempting to save while traveling, here you don’t need to, and every dollar spent in the village—whether renting boards, enjoying fish tacos, drinking cold beers, or using local services—supports the wonderful community. Board rentals are available at Room to Roam and Todd’s Surf Rental in town, and you can also take a boat to other surf spots, go fishing, or take Spanish lessons at Pie de Gigante Spanish School. For water, refillable 5-gallon bottles are available at nearby La Cascada Hostel or Dale’s. This is a peaceful, quiet retreat where you can truly relax and recharge. WIFI: Each casita has its own dedicated router with a steady connection of around 15 Mbps, perfect for video calls. However, the internet provider in our area occasionally experiences service interruptions that are out of our control. While infrequent, you may experience brief outages during your stay. Other things to note How to find us: On your own: There is a Bus that leaves the Rivas Mercado at 1:30 PM and arrives in Gigante around 3:30. From here it's a 10 min. walk to your Casita. Taxi: We can arrange you an airport pick-up or help you to take your cab to the right place :)

I absolutely loved this place. Being up on the hill with that beautiful view of the Amarillo surf spot was amazing. The house was minimalistic and nicely furnished, and my favorite spot in the mornings and throughout the day was the hammock – perfect for relaxing and reading.

we stayed ten days amd the views from the balcony with the two hammocks never stopped to he absolutely amazing. two beaches are in walking distance. rocio is very sweet and always quick to help, when there a problems. sadly almost everyday water wasn't runing and or the electricity was gone. rocio did everything in her power to get everything back on track. I'm agreeing to the criticism almost everyone wrote so far: there's a massive lack of kitchen utilities. the pans and kettles are bad, no glasses, no salt oil anything. one person also said, that on pictures it all looks minimalistic and clean... well clean it is, but it feels a bit empty. this place has soooo much potential, i hope at one point the owners would invest just a little bit and make it cuter and more welcoming. but still my friend and i were very happy that we stayed there.

Expected a lot from the the pictures (clean, minimalistic). It has lots of potential especially due to the location but the place is not maintained well. There is a long list of issues, some key items: - rooftop construction above our head during several days which we were not told of before. Lead to noise and a lack of privacy (workers climbing in front of windows and on the roof) - Daily dirt from the construction including a dead bat next to the bed - Dirty bathroom when checking in which was "cleaned" very poorly after previous guests - high hanging hammocks, one of which broke upon first usage. So one of us fell with the tailbone in the rock floor below with pain still one week later - Inpolite attitude of the cleaning person. The local person managing the place tries her best to make one feel comfortable despite the circumstances (one star is for her!) - lack of mosquito protection on first floor We were about to move out upon arrival but lacked alternatives of holiday season.

Rocio is such a sweetheart- she's very attentive and responds quickly to any questions we had. She connected us with a surfboard rental, and a taxi on the day we left. She made sure we were taken care of during the whole stay. Screens on the windows are a needed addition as the mosquito net didn't quite cut it. Curtains downstairs would be nice as there were guys working on a building behind us often looking in and maybe a few more kitchen items ie. lids for the pots. Amazing views, great location, would definitely stay again!

Best spot in Gigante! With views in all directions, and a quick walk to 4 of the most beautiful beaches, food, and surf - Puesto del Sol is it. We came for a little work away trip and loved our workdesk set up in this beautiful micro casitas. Tips: Monkey Bar next door para desayuno y cafe, Juntos for sunset drinks and eats, Playa Redonda for crystal clear snorkelling, and Playa Amarillo for totally untouched beach walks.
