We’re really glad you loved the views and sunsets - that part of the experience means a lot to us.<br/>We’re truly sorry you encountered this issue during your stay. Unfortunately, in rare cases it can come down to timing and a bit of bad luck. Especially when previous guests don’t fully follow the house rule of rinsing off sand before showering, which can lead to pipes clogging more quickly in a coastal environment. It’s very possible this had already started before your arrival and escalated while you were there.<br/>That said, we want to acknowledge how hard Juan worked under tough conditions and during a local holiday and Rocio, our property manager, is always quick to find solutions and mobilize help, even when she’s not physically on site. This is very much the reality of operating in a developing country like Nicaragua, where things can occasionally happen despite best efforts.<br/>We’re really glad we were able to resolve things quickly, move you for your final night, and of course provide a full refund - that was never a question for us. Our priority is always our guests’ comfort and experience, and we appreciate how understanding you were throughout.<br/>We really hope you continue to enjoy El Gigante and its incredible community, and that we’ll have the chance to welcome you back under much better circumstances in the future.
