Immerse yourself in the genuine Nicaraguan lifestyle with a fifth-generation Ometepe family. Discover the island’s highlights, including the refreshing Ojo de Agua and thrilling waterfalls. Relax in a hammock with a good book and a cool drink, or enjoy Mam Rosario’s delicious traditional Nica cuisine.

We are happy to prepare a delightful breakfast with local, vegetarian, and vegan options for $4 USD per person. Dinner is also available for just $8 USD.

The Space

You will stay in the same house where Lizzeth’s parents once lived. Rebuilt in 2017 by Lizzeth and me, the home is ready to welcome guests for the future. A family member is usually nearby—whether it’s me, Lizzeth, Mom Rosario, Dad Francisco, Lizzeth’s brother Douglas, or his wife Keyla. Along with our three friendly dogs and two cats, we form a close-knit family.

The room is simple but fully equipped with:

• A small locker
• Mirror
• Power outlets
• Fan
• Comfortable double bed with linens
• Towels for showering
• Cool tiled floors
• Secure door lock
• Private entrance

Mom prepares some of the best meals on the island. Breakfast is $4 USD, and dinner is available for $8 USD. We also offer free Wi-Fi, which our guests often praise for its speed.

Guest Access

Make yourself comfortable on the open front porch, a peaceful area featuring:

• Hammock
• Hanging chair
• Four rocking chairs
• Table with a 110-volt power outlet and extra lighting for work

There is also a small bar with three additional tables and chairs, ideal for enjoying breakfast and dinner.

A selection of refreshing beverages is available, including:

• Non-alcoholic: Cola, Fanta, Kerns apple, pineapple, and pear
• Alcoholic: Tona, Victoria, Victoria Frost, Smirnoff Original, and apple-flavored drinks

For a quieter setting, you can retreat to the back of the hostel for some well-earned rest.
