I rented the villa with 15 friends. The easiest way to find the Villa, is by searching search online for “Casa Santo Domingo.” We booked the villa and was put in touch with Orlando, the on-site host. Prior to the trip, he was very responsive and answered all of our questions. We opted for breakfast everyday and two cooked dinners at the villa. We had a security guard at the entrance 12 hours and a butler the other 12 hours, so we felt very safe. The butler would get groceries. The 4 on-site staff members cooked for us daily and they cleaned the linens, towels, and bedrooms. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. Some of the rooms had two beds and some had only one. The Villa is right in the heart of the walled city, which as a tourist, is where you want to stay. The rooms had air conditioning. The common areas did not. All of the guests had a great time.

We stayed here for a bachelorette party of 20 girls and we had plenty of space! Its a great place for a large group. Pros: - massive house with plenty of rooms and large common spaces to hang out - awesome staff, we felt safe, and highly recommend hiring them for breakfast and any other meal - other reviews mentioned bad communication, it was not my experience, the team was amazing and answered my many questions - the place was clean Cons: - some of the beds were rock hard Note that additional guest past 16 have a fee, and hiring the staff to cook is also additional (totally worth it)

We were a large group and absolutely LOVED our stay. The local guide Orlando was tremendous in helping us before we arrived with making arrangements for excursions and other activities. Carlos, Herberth, and Anna were very helpful property managers and security. I cannot say enough good things about the ladies who staffed the house - they were the absolute best - they were extraordinarily accommodating with my mom who is senior. The location is absolutely the selling point - we were literally in the middle of everything within the wall and could walk anywhere. It is an absolute gem. The only reason I did not give 5s across the board is because the home is colonial meaning - old- so we had some issues with hot/cold water, plumbing, wi-fi being inconsistent and some other relatively minor inconveniences. I also had a communication breakdown with regard to payment for additional services - but the issue was resolve relatively quickly. Overall we had an amazing stay!

This was our first time traveling to Cartagena. My son got married, and our whole family stayed at the Airbnb. The place was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our needs. The staff were beyond phenomenal and made us feel at home and we’re very attentive to all our needs. I highly recommend this place for large groups, since there is so much space for everyone to stay in the same home without feeling crowded. Each room had a certain beauty and staying in the home, made us feel as though we were living in paradise. If my travels should take me back to Cartagena, I would absolutely stay there again. The location and price is amazing. Definitely 10/10. Communication was a different story: 4/10. There are 3 parties we had to communicate with before and during our stay: the Airbnb host. The nomad guru manager via WA. Then the hotel staff. The Airbnb host was very responsive, but did not tell us about hidden costs until we checked in (they charge for every person above 16, something that was never mentioned prior to day of checkin). The local nomad guru manager is essentially useless. Responded extremely slowly and couldn’t answer simple questions. The local hotel staff was a mixed bag. One of the overnight security guards (Carlos) had a very poor attitude when we asked for his help during our birthday party, then asked us for a tip. Everyone else was wonderful. Overall, we managed. But it definitely wasn’t close to a 5-star hospitality experience. It is a good value for the price but if you are dropping $3000 a night in cartagena I would’ve expected better service.

I recently stayed at Casa Santo Domingo in Cartagena for a friends bachelor party and it was absolutely amazing. The place was beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with plenty of amenities and beautiful rooms that made us feel right at home. What really stood out to me, however, was the staff - they were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. We had 15+ guests that the staff catered to, and we all felt they went above and beyond with anything we needed! Carlo and the housemaids made sure everything was taken care of. Their attentiveness and warmth really made our trip to Cartagena that much more special. All in all, it will be difficult to find another Airbnb that matches the level of quality and hospitality offered here. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic experience in Cartagena. Thanks Again, For all you helped with and I hope to be back soon!

AMAZING PLACE!! This is a beautiful home with many rooms to accommodate big groups. The art and architecture of the home is incredible. Each room has it's own bathroom and there are various of shared spaces to be in a group setting. The staff at the home was also what made this home incredible!! They were very attentive and helpful throughout the whole stay. The cooks made a delicious breakfast every morning filled with local fruits and cuisine. The cooks also grilled us dinner one night and it amazing! Could not recommend this place enough! Great location in the heart of the walled city with a lot of walkable restaurants and bars. We would definitely stat here again!! One of the best places we have ever stayed :)

We stayed here with 23 people and had the time of our lives! The staff was incredible and the hotel is even more beautiful than the photos. All of our guests said the stay was above and beyond their expectations and contributed to the trip of a lifetime. Finally, the location is unbeatable, we comfortably walked to nearby bars and restaurants and enjoyed the beauty and history of the walled city.

Casa Santo Domingo and it’s crew exceeded our expectations. We had a group of 40 people stay here for our wedding weekend and Orlando and his team were amazing. He organized all our meals and the chef was on point! Her dishes were to die for, especially the ajiaco. Anna was also able to arrange massages for some of our guests. The house help was extremely gracious and welcoming. They catered to everyone’s needs. The staff of this house made our wedding weekend seem less!! 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend staying here if u have a large group. The location was in walking distance from almost anywhere u wanted to go inside the walled city. My family can’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed their stay here.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Cartagena. The home was authentic and very aesthetically beautiful. We did have some hiccups along the way I'd like to highlight. Pros: 1. We used the onsite chef all of the meals were delicious! 2. The staff was very accommodating and nice. 3. Felt safe with the overnight security 4. Location, Location, Location! Centralized and walking distance to everything 5. Pool and jacuzzi were beautiful and cleaned daily. Cons: 1. Communication is subpar. I had to keep reaching out and following up to get any type of answer. 2. The rooms were not cleaned properly before we arrived. Stains on the bedding, the fridge was filthy, and one room had a dead animal in it. 3. Mosquitos galore. After the sun went down it was hard to sit outside because everyone was getting eaten alive. Maybe some citronella candles or plants would make a difference? Either way- bring bug spray!! 4. Half of the rooms didn't have hot water. We had to keep asking the staff, they would "fix it" and it would work one time then go back to being cold.
