Overview

Montecristo is an exclusive gated community situated on the mountainside in Los Cabos, Mexico. It offers breathtaking ocean views overlooking the entire Quivira Los Cabos area, which features a prestigious Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The community is meticulously landscaped and maintained, providing access to a beautiful clubhouse. Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, this private enclave offers a peaceful retreat with stunning surroundings.

Montecristo Villas are designed to meet your needs, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay in this unique setting. Each villa features luxurious amenities, including:

Please note:

• Our listings are not linked to a specific villa, but all villas share the same amenities and layouts.
• Each villa has a private pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace.
• Views vary by villa; while photos represent typical views, exact views cannot be guaranteed.
• Villa locations cannot be requested; we manage villas in both Phase I and Phase II of Montecristo.

Booking and Guest Policies

• Prices depend on the number of guests. Please book for the correct number of occupants.
• Extra guest fees apply if additional guests arrive beyond the original booking:
  • $50 USD per night per extra guest if added before arrival.
  • $100 USD per night per extra guest if added during or after check-in.
• All guests must be registered, and applicable fees paid.
• Housekeeping is not included but can be added for $80 USD per day.
• Salt, pepper, condiments, oils, foil, plastic wrap, coffee, sugar, and similar items are not provided.
• Early check-in cannot be guaranteed; villas are ready by 4:00 p.m. Guests may use clubhouse facilities and store luggage until the villa is available.

Environmental Sanitation Tax

The municipality of Los Cabos has introduced an Environmental Sanitation Tax to support local community improvements. This tax applies to all reservations made from September 8, 2022, onward and is charged at check-out.

• Amount: 33.68 Mexican Pesos per room per night (approximately $1.70 USD, depending on exchange rates)
• Applies regardless of occupancy
• Funds support environmental infrastructure, sustainability, safety, and security projects

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Quivira Vacation Rentals follows strict hygiene and social distancing measures based on global hotel consulting recommendations to ensure guest and staff safety.

Cleanliness and Sanitization

• Hand sanitizing stations at key locations (front desk, restaurant entrances, public areas)
• Certified disinfectants used for cleaning high-touch surfaces
• Periodic deep sanitization by certified third parties

Arrival Procedures

• External suitcase sanitization via steam cabin or sanitizing devices
• Guest sanitization cabin and infrared temperature checks (guests with temperatures above 38°C/100.4°F may be denied access)
• Mobile pre-check-in available

Room Amenities

• Hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray provided
• Masks and gloves available upon request
• Paper amenities, pens, and magazines removed unless requested

Social Distancing and Health Measures

• Elevator capacity limited to two people, except family members
• Public furniture arranged to maintain at least 1.8 meters (6 feet) distance

Pool, Spa, and Fitness Areas

• Pool loungers grouped in twos or fours, spaced 1.8 meters apart
• Equipment sanitized after each use
• Reduced maximum capacities for fitness center and spa

Food and Beverage

• Restaurant and bar seating arranged for social distancing with capacity limits
• Staff wear masks
• Contactless room service available
• Menus accessible via mobile devices; physical menus removed

Golf Club Protocols

• Sanitization of golf carts and balls before and after use
• Capacity limits at reception and practice areas
• Tee times spaced 15 minutes apart
• One golf cart per person unless family members request otherwise
• Rules to minimize touchpoints during play (e.g., flagsticks remain in holes, bunker rakes removed)

COVID-19 Response

• On-site detection team including medical and management staff coordinates with health authorities
• Protocols established for handling potential COVID-19 cases
• 24/7 medical service available

Destination Measures

• Enhanced procedures at SJD International Airport, including thermal cameras and travel background checks
• Certification program by the Ministry of Health for restaurants, hotels, water sports, and tourism activities
• Ongoing monitoring and updates to safety protocols

Important Notes

• Outside services such as private chefs, external catering, grocery shopping, and maid services are not permitted within the Quivira Los Cabos Community. Only services provided by Pueblo Bonito Resorts are allowed.
• Villa assignments are confirmed only at check-in based on arrivals and departures; advance confirmation or guarantees are not possible.
• This rental is a vacation rental experience, distinct from timeshare or hotel bookings through the resorts. Some resort amenities may not be included with vacation rentals, aligning with industry standards and Airbnb recommendations for essential amenities.
