We had an amazing stay at Villa Secreta with our family of 5.The home is absolutely beautiful. It feels like a family home, not just a commercial rental with how well stocked the kitchen and necessities were. The location is a perfect walking distance to the beach, stores, and restaurants. We frequented the coffee shop and restaurant at the end of the road several times during the week for a quick bite or drink on the way to the beach. The beds and linens were great and adequate shade in the bedrooms provided a great nights sleep - or lazy sleep in past sunrise. We enjoyed seeing howler monkeys in the trees, iguanas, lots of interesting insects in the area (as to be expected in a tropical environment). The pool was lovely and concierge service was fantastic - we used it to arrange airport transportation, as well as fishing, sloth sighting, and zip line excursions. Lola was extremely helpful and responsive. Would give more than 5 stars if I could! Book it - it’s worth it

The house is amazing and the location was really good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants privacy but still wants to be within walking distance to town center. I also think the house is sits at the best part of the beach for swimming or surfing.

My family of 6 loved this home. It fit is perfectly and was very comfortable. It was very clean and smelled wonderful. The hosts were very accommodating in helping arrange excursions and quick to respond. We loved how it was close to everything, but still felt like it was off the beaten path. We would highly recommended this house!

We loved our stay at Villa Secreta! The home is beautiful, spacious, quiet, and exactly how it was described on Airbnb. The rooms were clean, each equipped with their own AC unit, bathroom and extra linens. There is even a half bath downstairs and a full bathroom attached to the office which was a huge bonus. The cleaners came for 3 hours halfway through our stay which was nice. We had access to the laundry room (extra linens, washer, dryer) and the kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher. We loved this space and would highly recommend it as a place to stay in Tamarindo CA. Our only complaints were the Gardner came two days during our stay (as well as early at 8:30am on checkout day) without us having prior knowledge and that impended on our privacy. We paid for a pack n play to be delivered prior to our arrival and that did not arrive until day 2. Both unfortunate, but the host was apologetic and responsive. The host left gifts upon our arrival which was very thoughtful too.

Beautiful home, and we enjoyed our stay. Our group was greeted by Monkeys the first morning which was a lovely surprise. The house is about a 5 minute walk from the beach, however the walk is on a muddy uneven road. The house is very difficult to find at night, so just trust the map location. We had issues with hot water throughout our stay, and had the management company assist us twice, however we had no hot water again just prior to leaving. All in all, great place to stay, beautiful surroundings. Management company was very responsive and helpful.

The stay was great. House is private but an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The house looks just like the pictures and is very well cared for. Definitely recommend

Cannot say enough about this place. The house is beautiful and had all the needed amenities. It is walkable to the beach and local restaurants. The hosts are great - very responsive and helpful in booking local excursions as well.

The property is moderne and well kept. It has a lot of space and light, it’s private and it has a great back yard (pool and views of estuary). The kitchen had an ant infestation, and though management responded, the solution was either to spray chemicals where our food was or to “accept that there are ants in tropical climates”. Neither was acceptable, so we moved all our food to the office space or kept it sealed in fridge. Management admitted they had sprayed for ants recently, so they knew of the problem. Another irritant is the poorly maintained dirt road to the house. One side was always covered in garbage due to animals, while the other was occupied my farm workers. The smell from the farm was revolting at times, so beware. Tamarindo as a whole was questionable. We were regularly offered hard drugs on street, the beach was nice but had lots of broken glass, the dining was ok and there was visible poverty. The property was expensive given bugs, location and town.

The house is absolutely amazing and the best thing about it is the location. You’ve got your privacy in the backyard which has the wilderness area behind it and yet it’s a short 10 minute walk, to get to the shopping , bars and restaurants. It was literally a five minute walk to the beach. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
