The Space

Villa 16 is a beach villa located in an exclusive gated community just a three-minute walk from the beach. The community offers security, parking, peaceful green areas, and access to an oceanfront clubhouse and restaurant.

The villa includes:

The villa was designed for comfort and relaxation at one of Panama’s best surf beaches. Tropical landscaping surrounds the building, with fresh fruit, herbs, and fragrant flowers. The grounds also feature a path made from agate and colorful blue stones.

Inside, guests will find a 65-inch Samsung Smart TV, an LG 420-watt soundbar with subwoofer, Apple TV, and high-speed Wi-Fi in every room. The water is filtered through triple reverse osmosis and ultraviolet treatment.

The rooms feature local Panamanian artwork by Achu Kantule from Guna Yala, as well as Ricardo Sánchez Beitia, Braulio Matos, Eliezer Martinez, and Cesar Castillo Lino. The artwork is available for purchase to support the Save The Turtles Playa Venao foundation.

Location

Playa Venao is a crescent-shaped bay known for surfing, fishing, and an active outdoor lifestyle. The area has one of the driest climates in Panama and offers abundant natural attractions. Located on the Azuero Peninsula, it is becoming a popular destination for tourism, retirement, and second homes.

The beach area has a relaxed, old-school tropical atmosphere. It is surrounded by large ocean-view farms and a friendly, hardworking local community. Surfers visit from around the world for the waves, while sport fishermen come to the Tuna Coast. Scuba divers can explore several dive sites, including the nearby Frailes Islands.

Community and Design

The project combines modern comforts with traditional tropical design. The residences feature white stucco, tile roofs, and natural finishes made from local building materials.

Each villa is located within a private, tropical Spanish Colonial-style neighborhood. The community provides first-class infrastructure, including wastewater treatment, high-speed internet, and energy-efficient design. Residents and guests also have access to peaceful parks, green spaces, great food and drinks, and the Beach & Surf Club.

Guest Access

All guests must wear a blue bracelet identifying them as Blue Venao visitors. Upon arrival, the front gate will register each guest’s name and vehicle to provide quick and easy access.

Turtle Conservation

The host founded Playa Venao’s only nonprofit community-based organization, registered with the regional offices of MIAMBIENTE in Las Tablas as “Tortugas Playa Venao,” also known as Save The Turtles Playa Venao.

The organization is dedicated to revitalizing marine turtle populations, improving survival rates, and supporting conservation efforts, particularly for Olive Ridley turtles (Lepidochelys olivacea). To date, more than 75,000 baby turtles have been released at Playa Venao over the last three years.
