Purple Palace

It's one of the best houses I've ever stayed in. The views were breathtaking – a combination of sea and greenery. Also, the pool is awesome. And the rooms are great – we even loved the outside shower! Just highlight two points: 1) Renting a car is essential, because the location is not close to anything, not even for taking a taxi. 2) Special mention to Cali, who is responsible for taking care of the house and the garden. She is an amazing person who helps a lot with any questions you may have. The truth is that it greatly improves the experience. Overall, we would definitely return to this accommodation.

Purple Palace was a dream from start to finish! The gardener, Cali, is an absolute gem—always happy to help and even chopped down fresh coconuts for us to enjoy. The home was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated with ornate island art and Afro-Caribbean paintings. There’s a resident dog and cat, which was a treat for us animal lovers. The cat ("Kitty") is so sweet and loved lounging poolside with us, while the dog ("Princesa") is both affectionate and a great little watchdog (scratch her spine for instant leg kicks!). Management was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The property sits atop a steep hill, making it quiet and secluded—perfect if you prefer relaxing in peace after a day of exploring. If you want walkable access to bars or the beach, this may not be ideal, but we personally loved the privacy. This home is truly one-of-a-kind, and we’re so glad we chose it for our week in Roatan.

Beautiful house in a great location. We ended up being there during rainy season and watching the rain fall over the ocean and the waves breaking on the reef was peaceful and beautiful. We spent more time at the house than we normally would but we couldn't have picked a better place. That view! There were four adults and we had plenty of space. The outdoor shower was pretty cool and the starlit showers were a bonus. The kitchen was well stocked to cook at home too. We fell in love with the cat that hangs out there. He is super sweet and became our little friend for the week. I don't know his name but we will all miss him. ❤️ All in all, this was the best place we have stayed on Roatan.

We loved our stay at the purple palace. The views from the terrace are beyond stunning and the apartment has its own character and is so charming. It has absolutely everything that we needed. You do want to have a car though to get up as it’s not connected to much public transport and we found the extra charge for the AC too much considering that we only used it very little.

We had a very relaxing stay at the purple Palace. We love the privacy, the pool, and especially the views! We would definitely come back.

LOVED our time at the Purple Palace. If you follow the google maps instructions, you'll find it no problem but it is a very steep uphill - 4 wheel drive definitely needed. The view is priceless. The large deck made for a great space to relax in the sun or shade and the pool was pristine! We had Loretta come make us a meal and it was delicious but lots of food (don't wait until your last night because you'll have left overs). We ventured out several times to local restaurants and felt safe. I would highly recommend this location.

Wonderful oasis up on the hill near Sandy Bay. Fantastic views from every room in the house and the outside areas are wonderful. We loved having the pool to float in and cool off. The villa was very well stocked and had almost everything you need . The only thing would be if there was a kettle and more toilet paper (but we had already read about that so we brought some extra with us). I would suggest getting the A/C to keep you cool at night but the fans throughout the house helped keep things comfortable. Location is great - close to lots of great restaurants and not too far from the popular tourist locations. The drive up the hill is pretty daunting at first but once you are used to it, its not so bad. Would definitely recommend this villa!

The Purple Palace is a great place to stay. The view is gorgeous and it is easy to get to area restaurants. The host were extremely responsive!

The views from the home were amazing ,we stayed for a short time ,there were 5 of us and the home was very spacious with tons of room to hang out at. the outdoors also had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views by the pool. I felt very safe and at home ,the property and its surroundings were beautiful. my only complaint and its very minor was backing the car out of the driveway. I would definitely recommend it and I would stay here again next time i come to Roatan.
