Luxury in the heart of the jungle! I think this is a one of a kind/once in your lifetime kind of stay. You are literally in the jungle but with all the confort of a 5* hotel. The personnel is very nice and helpful. You have acces to a private waterfall. The beds are huge, so we had no problem sleeping with our kids. You also have a fully equipped kitchen. The fireplace is amazing. Don’t forget to bring warm clothes as it can get a little chilly at night. Hope we can, someday, come back!

Wonderful place to stay with a great view, hiking and rainforest to yourself. The drive can be a little bit challenging to get to the reception but its all worth it. Quick check in at the reception with providing all the details what we can do around the place and so many fun activities for the family. You can have your breakfast delivered to your place and it's so delicious or you can cook your breakfast or dinner as you have full equiped kitchen. Short walk to your private waterfall which you can swim or you just wonder around and discovering some insects or birds. Please bear in mind that you might have some spiders or insects in the bedroom or bathroom but this wasn't big deal for us as you are in the middle of rainforest. Perfect few days to spend in Monteverde.

It is amazing! Spacious, clean, comfortable, cozy. They will even bring you food from the restaurant without a service charge. It’s a bit of a drive to town, so we brought food and cooked a night. Great place to just hang out and experience something unique!

We really enjoyed our stay. It is slightly secluded but that is what adds to the beauty of the place. Everyone at el Tigre was very responsive and super helpful with anything we needed. Everyone was kind. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the culture was pure friendliness and pura vida. We had such a wonderful time. The man waterfall hike is def more of an intermediate hike but it is self paced and gorgeous. Thank you to everyone at el Tigre for your hospitality and kindness.

Great secluded setting surrounded by nature. Property was awesome. Raul was very responsive and helpful. Takes about 20 minutes to get transported up (or down) to the property and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place to stay! We loved being able to hike to our private waterfall, nap on the balcony, and enjoyed being off the grid! The kitchen was ready for cooking, but we chose to drive to down for dinner each night and really enjoyed eating at the Tree House. We hiked all the trails and loved the waterfalls. A very unique place to stay. Loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay and loved being secluded in the jungle. The shared area is cozy but the bedrooms and bathrooms were extremely spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked to be able to make meals at the house. Upon arrival, check in was a breeze. The cars were left at the car park and their 4x4 jeep will drive you to the house. It’s a simple text to request the 4x4 to come pick you up if you want to head back to the reception area to have a meal at their restaurant with a beautiful view or want to leave the grounds. There’s plenty to see/do on the grounds and the town is a short 20-25 min drive. There will be bug, spiders and moths in the house but it is the jungle. Overall, it was such a wonderful experience and would recommend!

Our family of 5 had an amazing stay at El Tigre Hideaway! The location and scenery were absolutely breathtaking. It was incredible feeling completely alone in the middle of the cloud forest. We loved the beautiful hiking trails even when it was pouring rain. The cabin looked just like the pictures and the hosts were very helpful and polite. We really appreciated the drivers who took us to and from our cabin. Just a couple things to be aware of - there are spiders and moths that make their way in. This didn’t bother us but it could bother some. It is also extremely secluded and it can take 30-45 minutes to access Monteverde after having the driver bring you to the parking lot and then driving yourself into town. Despite this, I highly recommend! It felt like a once in a lifetime experience for us.

Incredible stay in what felt like a more remote area of Monteverde. Epic scenery and waterfall trail is an absolute must. Amenities were really nice and staff were very attentive. We had some creepy crawly friends visit us but this should be expected in the cloud Forrest so you need to be ok with this. Really enjoyed our stay and the immersion in nature with all the amenities.
