El espacio
Sanctuary Retreat es una querida cabaña tipo A ubicada a orillas del río Sevegre, en San Gerardo de Dota, Costa Rica. Despierte con la suave luz del sol y los relajantes sonidos del río, mientras cada día ofrece un equilibrio entre descanso y aventura.
En el interior, una combinación de maderas exóticas crea un ambiente refinado, pero rústico. Los ventanales llenan la cabaña de luz natural durante el día y, al anochecer, abren el interior hacia el cielo nocturno. Desde la terraza junto al río, puede disfrutar de amplias vistas de las estrellas. Cada mañana puede traer visitas de patos y el ocasional chapuzón de un pez.
Las noches son especialmente cómodas gracias a las camas king y queen Serta con calefacción, que brindan calor bajo el cielo estrellado. Para disfrutar de una aventura al aire libre, dese un refrescante baño en el río o siga el sendero cercano hasta una impresionante cascada, a pocos momentos de la cabaña.
Sanctuary tiene capacidad para hasta cuatro huéspedes e incluye:

Ubicación
La cabaña frente al río se encuentra a solo cinco minutos de algunos de los mejores restaurantes de Costa Rica. Rodeado de un bosque exuberante y de la belleza intacta de un parque nacional al otro lado del río, Sanctuary ofrece un entorno tranquilo con muchas oportunidades para explorar.

Heated toilet?! If that isn't a reason to book it right now... 😆 this is actually my 3rd time staying at Unicorn Lodge. I've experienced the dome 2x and this new A frame this time. Watching this project grow over the past 4 years has been really incredible. This property is an oasis and worth the splurge! Just book it - trust me you won't regret it 🥰

The place is beautiful, exactly as it looks in the photos. Private, clean. The hosts always responded super quickly and gave us good recommendations on what to do in the area. They were always available in case we needed anything. We loved the heated beds, and the place had everything we needed to cook. We would definitely come back.

Our stay at Unicorn A-Frame was absolutely wonderful. The cabin is stunning, truly unique, and sits right beside a beautiful river, creating such a peaceful and magical atmosphere. Everything was spotless, the beds were incredibly comfortable, the shower had great hot water, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. You can really tell how much care has gone into every detail. Communication with Travis and Jessica was smooth from start to finish. They were friendly, responsive, and made the entire experience effortless. I highly recommend Unicorn A-Frame and also their other cabins, which I’ve stayed in as well. Every property has been exceptional, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again. If you’re looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway, this is the place.

Beautiful cabin, very quiet surroundings, quetzal right behind the house (if you're lucky). Great garden with lots of flowers, plants and hummingbirds. Despite the cool weather, the nights were pleasant thanks to the heated bed. We had a great time, thank you so much. By the way, the restaurant Doña Marlen, a 3-minute walk away, offers absolutely great food, and the restaurant's balcony is home to many beautiful hummingbirds.
