Casa de Mono Encantado

This place is an absolute gem! It was exactly as described. I would also like to point out that Donna’s check-in package was clear and concise. Donna was responsive when messaging and answered all of my questions whether in the package, or over message. The villa is amazing and has arguably one of the best views in SJDS. The area is relatively secluded and does require a vehicle to get in and out (walking is possible but not recommended due to the hills). The house rules were also simple and laid out for us. I would definitely re-book here in the future.

Very beautiful my husband says that he would love to return , there everything excellent.

The place was exactly as described and overall met my expectations. However, the water pressure was quite low, apparently because the water tank is not elevated. Aside from this issue, everything else was as expected.

This is a space that I would definitely come back to and stay longer. If you love beautiful views, comfort and nature, you should visit. The house has everything you need. Very comprehensive and very well thought out. Very comfortable and spacious rooms. I look forward to returning soon.

This house is truly amazing. We are definitely going to come back, and this will be the house we rent. The pool is beautiful. My children and my nephews had a great time and were super happy. The house was really beautiful. Yubran was a super friendly person. We couldn't get to the house and he picked us up at the central park in San Juan del Sur. He helped us go buy food and run various errands. He was super friendly. I really have no words to express how great a time we had. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much, Miss Donna

I can’t express how much we loved staying here. First off, Yubran is amazing, kind, helpful, responsive, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay.

The property itself is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The house is spacious, comfortable, and the views are absolutely unbelievable.

My wife and I are newlyweds, and since her family is from Nicaragua and we both have summers off, we hope to spend more time here. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Our stay at Casa De Mono Encantado was absolutely amazing. The highlight of the house is undoubtedly the back porch; we spent every morning out there watching the tide roll out and the snorkelers working below—it is incredibly peaceful.

The house itself was spotless and the kitchen was fully equipped for anything we needed. Because of the home's elevated position on the hill, we enjoyed a constant, refreshing breeze that kept the place very comfortable.

Donna was an incredible host—super responsive and answered all our questions immediately. Yubran was also extremely helpful and made our stay feel seamless!

You definitely need a 4x4 or a powerful vehicle. The hills closer to the house are quite steep; we may have put two local taxis out of commission just trying to get to and from town before we could pick up our rental.

A beautiful home at the top of a mountain. Use different navigation apps because it was a bit tricky on google maps. Definitely rent a car that is large that can handle steepness. Yubrán made our stay extra special, he cooked amazing dinners for us & cleans around the home daily. This home is stunning, the views and pool is more breathtaking in person. Nearby doggy named dutchess would visit us & was the sweetest girl. Absolutely loved our stay & would definitely book again!

The whole experience was excellent from beginning to end. Beautiful house and pool area. The view is unbelievable. Yubran, the house caretaker is very nice and easy to communicate with. He cooked an excellent meal for us two nights and took care of anything we needed. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

Donna was an exemplary host. She was easy to communicate with and responsive to all requests. The house is stunning with an unparalleled private vista of the sea and beach below. My family and I felt comfortable in Donna’s home. I would highly recommend engaging the services of Yubran as your in-house chef. The food is amazing and he is so kind!

We had an amazing stay at this beach house! The place is spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The house was super clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beach was just a short walk away. You can tell the owners really care about keeping the property in great condition. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Casa del Mono Encantado exceeded our expectations. Donna guided us to the best amenities in SJDS. Yubrán as Donna pointed out was an excellent host. We are still comparing his dinner to the rest of our trip meals and his was delicious. Thank you Yubrán for laundry, for meals and for errands. The house is amazingly cleaned, organized and supplied. The views out of any point of the house are spectacular. ***** five stars and above for this gem. Privacy, location, amenities, price and communication were outstanding. Yes! indeed we are coming back to Casa del Mono ASAP. We were enchanted!

Great place, great location, and great grounds keeper

Very friendly, very attentive

Absolutely loved our stay. The house is incredible, the rooms comfortable. The beach is 160 steps down, and really is a nice little walk. The caretaker who lives on property is extremely accommodating, and can grocery shop, cook, and more. My suggestion is to rent a 4x4 vehicle. The roads into town are very steep, we thought we could either get scooters/motor bikes but our entire group wasn’t skilled enough. Or we thought taxi, we got one taxi and he couldn’t make it up a hill, asked us to get out of the car, rolled it back and charged back up the hill. We then rented a vehicle in San Juan and it was perfect. For us it was the right choice, close enough to town but quiet and peaceful with its own beach and gorgeous views! Would absolutely come back!

The house is amazing! It is very clean, peaceful, private and has beautiful surroundings! The infinity pool is unbelievable with a breathtaking view!

This is our second visit to the monkey house! Yubran the caretaker of the house is an excellent chef! He cooked our dinner two nights during our stay!

Very beautiful home. The view and pool were amazing. All bedrooms and living room had smart TV's. The internet was out for a short period and all rooms had DVD players as well, with a good selection of DVD's. Lots of games to use as a family. Kitchen had everything we needed. AC worked great in the bedrooms. Would absolutely return and recommend.

This place is everything you’re looking for in an Airbnb. Western exposure for beautiful sunsets over your own private beach. Swim up bar that you can fully staffed! Every bedroom has an A/C that works flawlessly. Feels so excluded yet only a 5 min drive into town. You can pay $15 a meal have your meals made for you. The boys and I woke up to breakfast everyday. Tons of board games and portable speakers all over the house. The neighborhood has a friendly dog that even visited a couple times. Also, the pool sees the sun for most of the day so the pool water is warm and perfect. I will be back! Thank you for everyone. Best Airbnb I’ve stayed at in all my travels!

We loved our stay, the house is well equipped and the most impressive is the amazing view of the sea and the mountains! You can't stop looking at either the balcony or the gorgeous pool at the bottom!

Yubran's services were much appreciated, as the road to get to the house stressed me a little with the rather steep slopes, we were very happy to have the option of having our evening meals prepared!

We loved Casa de mono, the views are breathtaking, the pool and ranchito will make you want to stay home. Yurban was an amazing cuidador and chef, he even decorated the bedroom with flower petals for my parents anniversary. We can’t wait to visit again.

Loved this house and everything about it. she had staff included and a cook/mixologist if needed (for an extra cost). the only downside side to my experience was that it wasn’t stated that i would need an atv or off road truck to take us up and down the mountain. that would’ve been a big help i would’ve been able to plan ahead and rent one before hand and not the day of. other than that they had everything set up perfectly the house was beautiful and the rooms were clean and they were very helpful and even let us check in a couple hours early !

Stunning view! This home is close to town but feels like a world away. Very peaceful and quiet. The house is well equipped and a quick walk down to a lovely beach. April was very hot and the air conditioning in the bedrooms were much appreciated. Would definitely return. We love San Juan del Sur.
