Las Olas- Surf the Rock! Steps from the Beach!

We stayed at Las Olas in April for the last few days of Spring Break. I was a little worried about the road noise mentioned in the TripAdvisor reviews - however, it wasn’t an issue at all! We really didn’t even notice it and no one in our group mentioned it. The unit was spotless when we checked in and wel maintained, and the building felt safe and secure. If your goal Is to stay on the beach, I don’t think you can find a condo closer to the water. We loved the deck and the view was as advertised. Our boys rented surf boards from the shop nextdoor and we had a nice breakfast at Zippers. We were also there for the art walk in San Jose del Cabo (which I think happens every Thursday) It is worth the trip into town. We didn’t rent a car while we were in Cabo - uber and taxis were easy to find and we found them efficient for what we needed . There are several great grocery stores nearby and a Costco in Cabo. We had a great trip!

We have stayed in Carlene’s many times and have always had the best time. This location is perfect, especially for anyone who loves to surf.

This unit at Las Olas is fantastic! A beautiful view, comfortable furniture and beds, easy beach access, great pool. We lived on the outdoor sofa - so comfortable! Carlene was super responsive to all our questions and Omar was very welcoming. We arrived to cold beer, salsa and guacamole in the fridge - a very welcome treat at the end of our travel day. There are 2 great restaurants in quick walking distance on the beach and a grocery store a 3 minute drive away. Las Olas is a well-maintained, quiet property. We were there during a peak travel time but could always get a lounge chair at the pool. Surfing right out front can’t be beat. We’d definitely return to Carlene’s place.

Perfect place for my family to get away from the cold in January. Super close to lots of groceries and restaurants with a rental car. Highly suggest visiting during whale season so that you can spot them every five minutes right from the balcony!

Carlene’s place was amazing. She has a few units in this quiet condo complex overlooking Zippers. One on the ground floor which provides easy access to the pool and beach (just walk right out from the balcony). And this second story unit which has the same spectacular ocean views - one story up- so a little higher view and more privacy- but you have to wind through a hallway and down a flight of steps to access the beach and pool. The hardest part was deciding which unit to pick. There has also been renovations to the kitchen and bathroom (since the listed photos). The three bedrooms were plenty of room for our family- and the living room was comfortable as well. Our favorite was waking up to watch the sunrise on the balcony every morning. My only suggestion for improvement is directions to the place. GPS misdirected us- but Carlene was quick to quick to pick up the phone when we called and get us sorted. We’d definitely go back and encourage friends to rent the additional units.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in October 2025. The purpose of the trip was to have some downtime before heading up the coast for a big celebration with friends. We were actually upgraded from this particular space due to some work being done, but we were more than thrilled for the upgrade two floors up! It was plenty big for my husband and I with a great patio. The pool was also great and it was a short walk to Zippers for food and drinks. The bed was comfortable, the condo was centrally located, and the host was very responsive. I would recommend this place for someone wanting to explore San Jose Del Cabo!

This is by far the most beautiful place to stay. Carlene is a wonderful host. Everything was as described and we were met by Omar to see if we needed anything and show us the condo. We will be staying with Carlene again when we return.

we are a family of 6 with a 3 year old child. the condo was wonderful, well stocked with beach supplies, cooking supplies for meals and a comfortable open room for gathering with an extraordinary view to the sea of cortex. we loved watching the sun rise, the brilliant stars and listening to the waves break. the unit is at the end of the condo on the second floor and it felt very private with almost our own quiet beach out front. the pool and landscaping is lovely, the guests quiet and happy to be escaping the cold climate to the north. Carlene is available very responsive when called for questions. we loved our stay.
