We could not be more pleased with our stay and cannot recommend Villas Nicolas enough. Here’s a few things that stood out: - Front desk was amazing, from the moment we walked in we were kindly greeted, getting checked in was a breeze and we were given great recommendations on what to do or where to go - The Villas was beautiful, had an amazing view and was very clean. It felt private and immersed in nature - we had howler monkeys in the trees right next to the balcony. - Parking was great, I’m assuming the staff made sure of this but we never had trouble with not having a spot available. I believe they closely monitor the spots to ensure only guests are parking there. -It always felt safe, there was always a staff member onsite and at night a guard walks around the premises

We had to cancel our trip early due to cockroaches in not 1, but 2 rooms. We stayed the first night in our car due to cockroaches coming out from under the bed area. We saw 3 in about 20 minutes. They moved us to a 2nd room where we saw a 2 inch cockroach on the kitchen counter, along with cockroach eggs directly outside the front door. They refused to refund us the total amount of our trip. I don’t know if this business is removing reviews, as I saw ZERO reviews about a cockroach problem. This place is infested. It’s a gorgeous hotel where we experienced 2 nights of hell. We had previously stayed in a vacation home in La Fortuna days prior to this experience, in the rural jungle and experienced not a single bug in 6 days. Clearly they are not maintaining the hotel the way they should. Despicable. We have more picture of cockroaches on our phones now than I’d ever want to have.

We loved Sheryl’s place in Manuel Antonio. Beautiful, mature landscape around the premise and comfortable furnishings inside. We were so close to many restaurants that were walkable, as well as grocery stores. The amount of wildlife that we were able to see just by sitting out on our lanai was amazing! Macaws, parrots, sloths, squirrel monkeys, Capuchin monkeys, iguanas, and toucans. Spectacular! We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!

This place was a GEM! We stayed for half of our trip and didn’t want to leave. Location was the most perfect we could dream of. Walking distance to amazing restaurants, market, and activities. We saw more wildlife at the airbnb than at the national park. Pool area was beautiful and definitely utilized it everyday. Staff was very friendly! Would recommend this place to anyone!!

Sheryl’s place is a slice of heaven. Every morning we woke up to the beautiful rainforest sounds and gorgeous views of the ocean and rainforest. It’s a perfect spot to see daily wildlife. We saw macaws, white faced monkeys, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, and even spotted a sloth with binoculars in the trees nearby. It felt so private and clean. You cannot beat this location. It is walkable to several markets, restaurants, and a 20 min walk to the beach. Downtown Quepos is a short drive down the hill which is where we grabbed dinner every night. If you want to stay in Manuel Antonio in a beautiful villa and feel like you are in the National Park definitely stay here! We will definitely stay again in the future.

We travel often and I can honestly say this was one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. You sit in the midst of all the monkeys, wild birds, and sloths. I dare say you may see more wild life at this location than during an excursion! Centrally located, walking distance from all the best restaurants and attractions, Sheryl gets a 10 out of 10 across the board!

Thank you Hotel Villa Nicolas for sharing your beautiful place with us. We spent the majority of our time just enjoying the wonderful deck and watching all the wildlife pass through. The sloth view was so entertaining and the daily visits from the macaws were so fun. The beds are comfortable and the place was very clean. Thanks again for all the memories and we can’t wait to return. Pura Vida

Can't emphasize enough what a great location this is! You are literally steps away from restaurants, cafes, ATM, groceries etc. . .but also, once you step onto the property, you feel completely serene and transformed by the beautiful landscape, pool, walkways and VIEWS. The villa was plenty spacious for my daughter and I - and the built in sofa is easily serves as an extra bed. We enjoyed the convenience of the breakfast option for early morning outings, and Dennys was always friendly to talk to about location beaches, etc. We spent six nights here which felt just right, but we agreed we could've stayed a few more! Highlights of the trip for us were El Milagro (multiple visits!!), plantain towers at Aqua Azul, exploring the C-123 at El Avion and of course, wildlife in the National Park and oh, the beaches! We saw them all. Local bus route is easy peasy and makes outings even more fun.
