The patio/outdoor area was not well kept. The furniture was broken. Plants dead. Broken baby chair, construction run age and the restaurant garbage was at the door. It smelled and was often ripped up by the monkey. You are behind the restaurant so there is a lot of electrical noise from generators and just back of kitchen stuff.

I would say it’s exactly what you pay for and definitely good enough for a couple of nights. It was close to one of the smaller beaches. Conveniently attached to a couple food options. Bed, shower, tv and fridge. Staff were nice. The only thing is I messaged when I booked about hot water because of a review I saw and I never got a response back, and there is no hot water. Luckily it’s hot enough outside that a quick cold shower didn’t bother us too much. There was no soap in the dispenser and no coffee mugs for the coffee machine. All in all it was good enough for the price.

The accommodation was simple. It had more the concept of cabinas rather than apartment. So severely overpriced for just a bed, AC and a shower. There was not shampoo or shower gel to wash yourself. But yet comfortable and good for what we needed for one night.

Es un lugar tranquilo cerca de playa Pelada, supermercados y restaurantes. La habitación está justo en la parte de atrás del Restaurante Il Pepperoni.

Was prima voor een nachtje, maar voelde me er niet echt thuis. En baalde dat er geen warm water was, had ik me op verheugd na lange tijd zonder. Dit was niet aangegeven

5/5 Experience - true Costa Rican experience with the people and place. Would stay again Location/ resto: On the main road. Conveniently located at the back of Il Pepperoni Restaurant, with included a smoothie bar and bakery. Lots of food options esp when it gets dark, can pay with cash or card. Meters from the Playa Pelada Beach, great for watching the sunset and walk over to Playa Guiones (through the forest - ~ 10 minutes). ATV rental onsite!! Service: Staff were AMAZING. A mix of Spanish and English speaking. Went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. Able to communicate via text and very responsive. Had long conversations, immersing ourselves and learning more about Costa Rican culture. They were able to support us with transportation options (i.e. contacting their friends) seeking options for us. Suite: Clean, Wifi, TV, air conditioning, private bathroom, mini fridge and tasteful decor. More spacious than expected - high ceilings, shelves.
