The place was nice but it was difficult to find the place. I went into the pool the first night and there was no water running through the place so I couldn’t shower or use the bathroom to flush. Had to wait the next day for maintenance.

O>M>G about sums up this listing. The house was perfect. The management team 5 stars plus. They seemed to have staff and a team of people that took care of everything. We booked a private meal and was so delicious. I would recommend picking up some groceries if your going to cook at a larger town before you get there. There are many great restaurants in the area also. She will give you a detailed list before you arrive and when they are open. The pizza place will deliver and has amazing pizza. Driving to the house seems a little remote but that's what makes this place great. We searched on maps and found about anything you would want in the area. Even an ice cream shop. Great place for rest and relaxing just to enjoy the ocean and warmth. The WIFI and even Verizon cellular service worked great. I worked remote for a day or two and had no problems. We will defiantly be back to unwind in this hidden gem.

This house was amazing. It had absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved walking to the tide pools at low tide, it's must see. We had our own viechle so we could explore other beaches and restaurants

Review of the house: We spent a week at Ola Popoyo in March 2018. Our group consisted of 7 adults & 3 kids. The house was the perfect size & layout. Each family had their own area - it was big enough that we didn’t feel like we were stepping all over each other. The house staff (housekeeper & grounds guy) were excellent. They were there every day except Sunday. They don’t speak any English, but, we managed to communicate a bit using Google Translate. For anything we needed help translating, we simply emailed Todd at the property management group who passed the message along. The whole team at the property management group were great. After some initial emailing issues with Karina, things were sorted out. Dwight stopped by our first day and then every day/every other day. He was great – friendly, remembered our names and helped us book tours and arrange a car. The house itself is in a gated community with security guards. So, we felt pretty safe. It probably is the nicest house along the beach. It’s about a 30 min walk along the road into “town”. The town is really small, with just 2 little food markets, a surf shop, and a handful of restaurants/places to stay. An important note, the pool is small – it’s a plunge pool. While the adults did enjoy lounging in the chairs in the super shallow end (mid calf depth), it wasn’t really big enough for the kids to jump around in. Overall, if you want peace & quiet, this place is ideal. Otherwise, try the San Juan Del Sur area. FYI - The A/C in the bedrooms is included, but, it costs extra to use the A/C in the living room ($25/day). - The housekeeper has the only key to the laundry room & will do laundry. The first load is included, but, any additional loads cost $5 each. - Almost every day, we ended up going to Hotel Popoyo (~ 5mins walk down the road). If you spend 300 cordobas at the restaurant, they’ll let you use their amazing pool. - We did the zip line tour in San Juan del Sur with Da Flying Frog Adventures. Our driver stopped for coffee so we could get a caffeine boost after getting up early for the drive down (~1.5 hrs). I definitely recommend doing it in the morning....it was pretty hot at even 9am. Despite the heat, the zip lining was awesome. It was a great view at the top and the guys working there were professional and we felt safe. - We expected the drive from Managua to take about 2.5 hours, but, it took us about 3.5 hours (not including the stop we made for groceries). The last half hour was on unpaved roads, which was rough for some of us. We decided to fly out of the nearby airport on departure. We chartered a plane that flew us near the active volcano. - We signed...
