The Space
Casa Búho is a tranquil retreat perched atop Paradise Hill, surrounded by lush jungle and offering views of a nearby nature reserve. This secure property invites you to unwind to the natural sounds of cicadas while observing wildlife such as monkeys, butterflies, and exotic birds.
The main villa features three bedrooms and an infinity pool overlooking the ocean and the nature reserve. Additionally, there is a separate one-bedroom suite constructed from local wood, designed as a cozy cabin. This suite includes a bedroom with a shower, a living room with a kitchen area, and air conditioning throughout. It also offers a hanging net for relaxation and a small private pool with views of the nature reserve.
In total, the property has four comfortable bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and air conditioning. The large American-style kitchen opens into a spacious living room. A covered terrace with blinds has been added for outdoor comfort. Both indoor and outdoor furniture are crafted from local teak wood by skilled local carpenters.
Enjoy your morning coffee while taking in ocean views and watching wildlife such as howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, squirrels, coatis, anteaters, iguanas, and various birds and butterflies.

Location and Access
Casa Búho is situated within a gated community that includes three houses, each with its own private entrance and parking space.
There are two access routes to the property:

A newly paved road suitable for all vehicle types, providing easy access to Santa Teresa South in approximately 8 minutes. This entrance is secured with a guard.

A jungle path requiring a 4x4 vehicle, leading to Santa Teresa North (Eat Street) in about 7 minutes.

Anne-Laure was a great host. Her place is very beautiful and in good shape. With a 4x4 easy reachable and even though in the middle of the jungle, it‘s close to town. We were a bit surprised to find, that we had next door neighbours, as there was nothing mentioned and the pictures did not reveal that. Other than that it was excellent and we had an awesome stay.

La casa es tal cual las fotos, muy cómoda, bien equipada, tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unas buenas vacaciones. El área social es ideal y tiene una vista preciosa. Anne es excelente host, siempre atenta de nosotros y nos permitió entrar antes de la hora de check-in lo cual le agradecemos muchísimo. Excelente lugar para hospedarse, ya queremos regresar.

The house and surrounding environment was incredibly we saw many animals including monkeys, butterflies, curious squirrels and many colourful birds where especially the hummingbirds gets very close to you if you wish. Anne-Laures is ever helpful and fast responding if you have questions about anything 😊. The place is literally almost in the jungle with a view above it and over the ocean and that is only a 10 minute drive in your 4x4 car. We want to thank you Anne for a magnificent stay Best regards the Mikalski family

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Casa Buho! La proximité avec la nature, la mer, les restaurants ont rendu notre voyage extraordinaire. Anna-Laure est aux petits oignons et répond rapidement lorsque nous avons des questions. La vue est imprenable et la maison confortable. Nous avons adoré passer des heures dans la magnifique piscine en admirant le paysage. Vraiment un must: rapport qualité prix exceptionnel!

Santa Teresa is a one of the best spots in Costa Rica and Casa Búho is strategically located with wonderful views and close to different beaches

The villa is very nice, modern, clean , very well mainteined It has 3 bedrooms . The master bedroom is big and very comfortable . The other two bedrooms are smaller ( expecially one is quite small) but they both have their own bathroom which is a great plus if you stay in the villa in 6 people The view is very nice, it is sea view even it is a bit distant The garden /swimming pool are beautiful and practicle to spend some relaxing hours . the villa is located in a private area reachable only with 4x4 cars. They just one a new road in 2024 so it is not difficult to reach the villa from Santa Teresa, the road is perfectly fine Anna Lure is kind and very helpfull. She knows the area very well and she suggested us nice restaurants and activities to do I will defenitly reccomand this villa

Wow - just beautiful. The view, the pool, the layout and attention to detail. The house is located way up the road from Santa Teresa and you feel like you’re away from it all. Yet only 10 bumpy minutes from town. The house itself is very well designed especially for a vacation home. Once you open up the sliding doors and back windows, the breeze keeps you nice and cool in the living area. And so many comfortable seating choices!! The bed is very comfortable as well and the master shower area is a wonderful touch. The house has everything you need. Anne-Laure is very responsive to any questions I had. There is a small casita very close next to the house. There are plants and some privacy netting. We could hear the voices of our neighbors at times. It would be a great additional space if you have a large group or family. We had an amazing time and loved the energy of the house. So peaceful.
