The place itself was nice, but there were several problems. The AC in my room wasn’t working properly and caused so much condensation that the nightstand was wet. The driveway is also extremely steep and difficult to access. The worst part was checkout. Checkout is unusually early at 10 a.m. We asked for a little extra time to finish packing. When the cleaner arrived, the entire upstairs was already empty, and I told her she was welcome to start cleaning while we finished downstairs. Instead, she called the office, and shortly afterward someone came to the door confronting us and insisting we leave immediately. We were actively packing and had given the cleaner access to most of the house, so this reaction felt completely unnecessary. We ultimately left around noon. The way we were treated made us feel like we were being thrown out rather than paying guests and left a very negative impression of an otherwise nice property.

Casa Heron is absolutely beautiful with stunning views. We saw monkeys, iguanas, lizards and birds from the house and had a coati come right up to us at the side of the pool. Julio was an excellent host. We had a very small issue (replacement batteries required for the AC) which Julio sorted out immediately. The only down side is the very steep hill up to the house which was slippy when wet. All in all we loved it here and didn’t want to leave.

Access is definitely not very friendly…. If you are not careful or do not drive an automatic transmission car, getting in and out can be difficult given the slope of the road and the narrow parking space for turning around. Other than that, everything was very good.

The house is amazing, comfortable and spacious. I would come back many more times. We had a chance to see monkeys and woodpeckers right by the pool… quite a spectacle :) In my case, the only issue was the hill. Although it says so in the description, I think that upon arrival the difficulty can be a surprise for many, since it is full of moss and the car slips. Even going down on foot is dangerous. It really isn't for a novice driver. On the other hand, the blender didn't work. Everything else was impeccable :)

Fantastic! Beautiful house, stunning surroundings, being able to see a sloth in the tree from the balcony—how amazing is that! Very friendly and pleasant communication with the manager. The path to the accommodation is indeed very steep. But you get used to it.
