The Space
Welcome to Poncho's Hideaway, a beautiful beach house situated within the secure gated community of Hermosa Palms. The main floor suite spans 2,000 square feet and includes two bedrooms and one bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to four guests. The interior is tastefully decorated in traditional Costa Rican style, while the outdoor area is landscaped with native tropical flowers, creating a stunning environment.
The home features a two-car garage and a patio, ideal for enjoying Costa Rica's breathtaking sunsets. On the lower level, you will find a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. This floor also includes a full bathroom with double sinks and a spacious walk-in shower. A kitchenette with a countertop stove and a small dining area are available on this level, opening onto a large patio.
Both the upper and lower kitchen areas are fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils for your convenience.
The house is just steps from the beach, which boasts unique dark chocolate-colored sand as soft as snow. This private and secluded beach is rarely crowded and has been ranked the third-best surfing beach in Costa Rica.
Wildlife is abundant around the home and beach, with frequent sightings of macaws, toucans, and monkeys.

Lovely location with many iguanas and we saw a pair of parrots! The pool was very nice also and the beach was only steps away. Angie and Larry who live upstairs were very friendly and helpful if you have any questions that need answered.

We’ve stayed in HP many times and this was our favorite. Angie and Larry welcomed us warmly into their immaculate home. They had provisions ready for us after our long journey and offered to drive us to town. And although they live above the suite, we didn’t even know they were there (except when Angie brought us brownies;) A solid, worry free rental.

Wonderful place! We would love to return and stay longer. We could walk to the pool, beach, and on site restaurant in less than 5 minutes. Beach was beautiful and clean. Very family friendly.

Angie and Larry’s home is fantastic! They were so accommodating, and made us feel very at home. The beds were very comfortable, the house was super clean, and the location was so close to the beach and pool! They had great tips for where to eat, and what to see! We will definitely stay here again!
