With 3 miles of coastline within the 4,500-acre ranch, there is always a corner, tide pool, or wave to be found. Notable beaches include:

• Playa Langosta: Known for world-class surfing and river fishing.
• Playa Avellanas: Home to the Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club and six world-class surf breaks, including Little Hawaii and Lolas.

Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club

The Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club sits right on the shores of Playa Avellanas, featuring:

• An infinity-edge pool overlooking the famous surf break of Little Hawaii

Entry into the Beach Club has a fee of $45 (only paid once per day and for ages 10+). Note that the Beach Club has an annual closing in October.

Surfing

Hacienda Pinilla is one of the best locations in Costa Rica for surfing. With six waves just on Playa Avellanas and private access to the beach breaks of Playa Langosta, you can enjoy excellent surf conditions without leaving the ranch. The famous Playa Negra reef breaks are just 10 minutes south, and the river mouth and beach breaks of Tamarindo are 10 minutes to the north.

Rates

Rates are based on up to 10 guests. An additional fee applies per guest after the 10th person, up to the maximum occupancy of the property. Please ensure to include the total number of guests in your booking to receive an accurate quote.
