Casa Vista Oceana

Mark is a next level host. The house was perfect for our family of 18. Great location and a true Costa Rica experience... monkeys included. Jorge's concierge service was next level. Any request we had. He took care of it immediately including food and drink transportation, general questions and recommendations. Highly recommended we hope we get to return some day.

After spending the first part of our vacation in LaFortuna and doing all the recommended adventures, we were VERY happy to be in such a place of luxury. The minute we walked in the door, my 8 year old nephew said it perfectly, ”finally the luxury we deserve”.From the time I confirmed our reservation till the moment we left, Jorge was available and helpful. Take advantage of having groceries delivered for you. It was a great thing. We hired a chef for one night’s dinner and it was such a treat. The house has beautiful views from every room. The pool was the highlight for the children. The visits from the local natural habitants were exciting. We had monkeys and a great serenade by a couple of Toucans. There is a restaurant up the hill you can walk to. We also walked to the beach from the house. The housekeeper comes every day and will even do your laundry. There is a maintenance person who keeps everything outside clean. Stay here if you can!

INCREDIBLE!!!! Pictures don't do it justice. From the initial contact, everything was smooth. I had been to CR before but brought 3 more families with me. The place is so big, it never gets crowded...unless you count the monkeys that come swimming with you...LOL... Perfect location in between downtown beaches and Downtown Quepos. Will definitely stay at this house every year whether it's just one couple or 6 couples! From every bedroom, to every window, to the pool, and up to the third story hammocks, there is an awesome view! Toucans every morning tapping on the windows, Howler monkeys in the evening and the troop of white face that play all around the property. Want to see a sloth, as soon as we opened the rental car door upon arrival, one was right above us! No need to go to Manual Antonio Park, just stay here and interact yourself! Definitely coming back!!!

The property was fantastic. It was clean and well maintained. The random visits from the wildlife was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids. The beautiful views and great location made it perfect vacation for our big family.

Casa Vista Oceana was awesome! The house matched the photos, beautiful, roomy, private villas, and what a view! We traveled as a group of 10, and not at any moment did it feel like it was crowded, plenty of room and privacy. The house came with a housekeeper, what a treat! She came every morning, straightened up, and even did our laundry! The pool and deck were also cleaned every morning, and fresh pool towels were left. We also had the option of private chef services, we took full advantage and had them cook every evening for us. The food and presentation was fabulous! The chefs were open to cooking any kind of cuisine, and they outdid themselves! The house also had a concierge, he was on point. He was extremely helpful while planning the trip, and once we were there, he was readily available to help with anything we needed including transportation, excursions, and groceries. All in all it was a great trip! I would definitely stay here again.

In looking at previous reviews of Mark's home I was struggling to identify what I could possibly add to the deservedly stellar reviews he has received in the past and I guess in summary all I can say is every positive thing you read understates the reality. This is a really remarkable property and comes with a staff that is attentive without being intrusive and without exception there to insure you have a fabulous vacation. Jorge, Mark's concierge, started the moment we booked helping us to plan our vacation, find excursions we would like, getting them booked for us and arranging payment. Mark, Jorge and the chef's, who we had prepare breakfast and dinner most days, went way out of their way to accommodate food allergies folks in our group had including going far and wide to source ingredients and insuring tour operators who served food knew of the allergies and would accommodate them. All our meals were wonderful and fun! You will not be disappointed booking this property.

I can’t boast enough about this house. We were a large family of 11 people with different needs for each. The owner Marc delivered us fresh cookies and fruit from his farm the morning we arrived. Our concierge Jorge was AMAZING. He was a text away at all hours of the day, answered immediately, was able to book all our reservations, taxis, in home chef, etc. As for the chef, his food stood out above all restaurant options. Everything was immaculately cleaned, countless bath and pool towels, the owner has 5 maids come in between guests. Fresh pool towels were set out for us every morning and pool area was cleaned before we woke up. Amazing location, walkable to beach, restaurants, and shops. 15 min drive from downtown quepos. We got to experience monkeys in our backyard on a daily basis and it was the highlight of everyone’s week! 10/10 experience on all counts and we are already planning our next year’s family vacation in the same home!

What a beautiful house. The pool and the view are stunning and perfect for a group of friends. Loved that everyone has a view and their own bathroom.

Fantastic place to stay when in Quepo! We loved it!

We celebrated our parent's 65th wedding anniversary with a full house, including 15 CR first-timers ranging from 2 to 85 years old. Everyone fell in love with Vista Oceana, although the monkey who likes to cool off in the pool at the end of day was not thrilled with us hogging the pool. Tons of room for us to share meals, have privacy, etc . Couple meals from Chef Germaine and Josephine were fabulous and all the excursions were great. The adjacent beach was nicer and more easily accessed than anticipated. No one had any problems whatsoever. Game room was a hit. Roof top terrace is slice of heaven for wildlife and Pacific sunset watching, Capuchin wrestling matches, and euphoric massages. The service from Mark, Jorge, Sylvia, and Gabriel only adds to the magic. We can only hope for another large group stay at Vista Oceana someday.
