Acerca de La Matuna
La Matuna es un sector de Cartagena ubicado entre San Diego y el Centro Histórico, por un lado, y Getsemaní, por el otro.
En 1599, aproximadamente 100 años después de la llegada de los europeos al continente, Benkos Biojó se rebeló contra la presión española, huyó y fundó su primer asentamiento en esta zona de La Matuna. Parte del área es ahora el Parque Centenario.
Durante la década de 1950, La Matuna llegó a representar la modernización de Cartagena. Esta transformación provocó la destrucción de parte de la muralla histórica que rodeaba la ciudad y consolidó el área como el centro financiero de Cartagena.
Se construyeron edificios modernos en el lugar de la antigua estación para albergar bancos y compañías de seguros. Como resultado, muchos edificios llegaron a ser conocidos por los nombres de las empresas que albergaban.
Después de un período de decadencia similar al experimentado por muchos centros urbanos latinoamericanos, La Matuna atravesó un proceso de renovación y revitalización urbana durante la última década. Este proceso restauró varias plazas públicas, incluido el tradicional Parque Centenario, y ha comenzado a influir en los edificios privados. OffiSuite La Matuna es pionero en esta renovación.

The photos are as shown, but in person it seemed even more spacious and bright. It's a joy that each room has a bathroom. The apartment is in a perfect area, just 2 minutes from the walled area in a quiet area. We all loved it and slept wonderfully. Honestly, Clara is super nice and we were delighted with Cartagena and the accommodation. If I went back, I would definitely stay here again

My family and I were delighted with this accommodation. Clara is a very kind host as well as Ana, her assistant. The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos, it is well-equipped, with everything you need. The location is perfect, close to all the tourist attractions. We found the apartment clean and impeccably tidy. Clara always responded quickly and with great politeness and cordiality. We spent amazing days in this apartment and felt at home. Thank you for everything Clara, if I return to Cartagena I will definitely want to stay at your place again.

We spent a few beautiful days in that apartment. The location is perfect, you have the center 100 meters away and many things to do. Cartagena made us fall in love, it is undoubtedly a destination that we are grateful to have been able to visit. Ana Maria has helped us a lot with cleaning and tidying. We had an accident with some dishes and we resolved it amicably between both parties. Perhaps something to keep in mind is that in the living room the air does not cool the entire environment 100% but you can be perfectly comfortable. The rooms are very large with private bathrooms and very comfortable. Clara has helped us a lot and has always been attentive to our questions.

We were in a group of 6 people and the space accommodated us very well and with great comfort. It is very spacious and well furnished. Everything was as described in the listing, Ana, who was responsible for welcoming us and cleaning, was very helpful. I highly recommend it, the apartment is well located and close to bars and restaurants and the main centers for “tourists”.

Very nice home with plenty of space and amenities. Balcony, Wall waterfall and hammocks. Located 1000 feet outside of the Walled city, Park and Pegasus pier. This Home is great for friends groups and family. If you plan on bringing local guess in for the night this isn't the AIRBNB for you. It is not allowed. The home is safe and secure. The security guard on-site ensures that only authorized persons are entering the building.

This was the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at while visiting Cartagena! The Airbnb was spacious and clean. The host was super responsive and the check in process was super simple. The area was safe and very close to the restaurants in the Walled City. This Airbnb is a gem and I would highly recommend if you're visiting Cartagena!
