The hosts were fantastic, very nice, and responsive; they helped us when needed and were pleasant. The house is very beautiful and large, but there are a lot of insects and mosquitoes because the house is kind of in the middle of a jungle. The location is a bit problematic, but you can find it without any problem; you just need some kind of vehicle. Other than that, the experience was good, and the hosts were excellent and friendly.

Mike's place is beautiful. The house is very practical and comfortable for a family with kids, clean and well equipped. We appreciated the natural materials, high ceilings and well ventilated bedrooms (the fan was sufficient at night even in the hottest month!). Both bedrooms have mosquito nets which is helpful. The pool is well kept and cleaned regularly. I was misled by the description which said salt water, but it was actually treated with chlorine. Some construction noise could be heard from the main road, but it was counterbalanced by the beautiful songs of the birds and howler monkeys every morning. We could see many monkeys around the house, which makes this place magical. It's located in the non-paved part of Santa Teresa, a little dusty but more authentic and less chaotic than the southern part of town; a short walk to the beautiful beach - so the location was perfect. Tamara, Simon and Freia are wonderful hosts.

Great stay, clean home, very responsive hosts, not totally quiet as we wanted near the beach so we can hear cars and dogs barking. Walkable distance to the beach, a fantastic gym and nice coffee shops and restaurant.

The house is incredibly close to the ocean, yet still right in the middle of the jungle. Daily visitors such as iguanas—who occasionally even use the pool 😉—howler monkeys, squirrels, and many other animals make the stay exciting and truly special. Special thanks to the amazing property managers, Simon and Tamara. They are always reachable, extremely helpful, and genuinely kind. Tamara, thank you so much for the yoga session—you really put a lot of effort into it and even managed to inspire someone who normally has no interest in yoga at all. Hope to see you both soon in Austria! The surfing in the area is excellent, just as a side note. A very special thank-also goes to our property guardian Freia—you are a wonderful watchdog and an even better friend! In short: the house, the location, and the caretakers (Tamara, Simon, and Freia) are outstanding and truly one of a kind!

Mike's place was lovely, private, and a welcome escape from the main street a ways below. He was super responsive when we had questions—a great host overall. Don't miss walking up to the yoga 'shala' for a good stretch or just to hang out quietly in the evening, especially if it's raining :)

We had an amazing two week stay at Casa Camino ground floor! The house was amazing and modern, yet highlighted the surrounding nature beautifully. We saw many monkeys, iguanas, frogs, and more which was special. The location is perfect on the north end of Santa Teresa - away from the busiest part of town, 5 min walk to surf & beach. Mike and his team were great communicators and always helpful with assisting in coordinating activities, taxis, etc. You won’t regret staying here!

this house was absolutely amazing. if you could dream of a perfect jungle house this would be it. You woke up to birds singing and howler monkeys, well, howling. Our first morning the monkeys came to visit and we sat in the pool watching, it was magical. Lars was so helpful when we checked in, he gave us lots of great food and activity recommendations and even came and helped when we got a visit from a very large spider.

Mikes place is beautiful and conveniently located . I was confused and mislead by the “entire house “ With respect to the picture because the upstairs has a separate unit and you can hear the neighbors so not so private with respect to having only access to pool but also being seen by renters above . . I would rent out both the upstairs and downstairs in the future for the entire home experience with privacy .

Beautiful home in Santa Teresa North, a short way up a steep hill so ATV or 4x4 needed, very quiet and peaceful. Great location between Santa Teresa and Hermosa.

Very nice place. I had a very pleasant stay. Mike was always available to answer any of my questions. The location is also great, which is very important in Santa Teresa. Definitely recommend Mike’s place.
