Ibis Penthouse 9

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I traveled to tamarindo for my 30th birthday trip with my boyfriend and two friends- this stay provided the perfect balance of openness and privacy. Highly recommend for adult groups traveling together. The building was staffed with security full time (even for us late comers arriving at 1:30am) which was very comforting. The beach club access, and quick walk to town were 10/10. So grateful for this last minute booking!!

Wonderful space, way bigger than the photos. Comfortable beds and linens, a fully stocked kitchen, an amazing balcony and the location across the street from the beach is unbeatable. It's also walkable or a short golf cart ride to the fun and bustle of Tamarindo. We'll be back!

I stayed here with my family in June 2026 and I’m so glad that this is where we got to stay. It’s a beautiful penthouse style condo steps to the ocean, gym, infinity pool and restaurant. It’s close enough to everything in Tamarindo (we walked everywhere) but far enough from the center of town for some privacy. We loved our stay here!

I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a gorgeous condo and in a perfect location. It is steps from the beach club that has an amazing pool, restaurant/bar and beach. We rented boogie boards and even set up surf lessons right there on the beach. You can walk to all of the shops/restaurants. We did rent a car, and the condo has a parking spot that is gated. The condo is even prettier in person with spacious rooms, comfy beds and a bathroom for each bedroom. The only downside is the noise from traffic and the howler monkeys. We found it a bonus to be able to watch the monkeys from our patio, but they can be loud. Bring a portable noise machine or fan and don’t let that deter you. I would stay again without hesitation!

The space was enormous, located to next to the beach club with free access and frankly one of the nicest Airbnbs we have ever stayed.

I can’t wait to come back to this condo!! The location, the support from Rafa and his team, everything was so amazing!! I’ll recommend this place to anyone I know going to Costa Rica!

Amazing place. Beautiful accommodations and very spacious. The location and access to the beach club was so nice. We saw monkeys each morning. Hope to return someday. Thanks for having us!

Ibis #9 was a great place. The location is great and right across the street (steps) to the Beach Club (pool and beach). The location is noisy, especially in early morning with auto noise. Just be prepared to wake up early. Everything else was great and Rafa helped with coordinating everything and was very responsive. Everything was perfect and as expected, except noise when sleeping. Great people…great place and very safe. Thanks Rafa!!

This is one of my all-time favorite Airbnb's. (1) The unit is spacious and very well appointed. The deck space is ample and includes a private plunge pool. (2) Easy access to the beach club right across the street is included with the unit. This club includes a wonderful pool, bar, beachfront dining and a great beach. There were no additional fees for this other than food and drink. (3) The location is perfect. It is a very short walk into the bustling village of Tamarindo but far enough away that it is very peaceful. (4) Finally, Rafa (the concierge) took care of all of the details including transfers and excursions. This made the vacation completely worry-free. Everything was handled in advance, with excellent/caring communication, very clear receipts and directions. I would offer my very best recommendation.
