The Space
This modern home is situated on a private, gated one-acre property just a three-minute walk from a pristine sandy beach. Surrounded by jungle and ocean scenery, the house offers a peaceful retreat where you can lounge by the pool or explore the nearby beach. Wildlife such as sloths, monkeys, toucans, and iguanas can often be seen along the path to the beach, which winds through palm and mango trees.
The house features air conditioning, a full-size washer and dryer, a dishwasher, microwave, oven, coffee maker, blender, and bathrooms with luxurious rain showers. This is the only modern home in the neighborhood, which is otherwise composed of simple Costa Rican houses.
The property includes an electric gated entrance operated by remote or keypad, providing secure access. After check-in, guests receive a code or remote to open the gate.
Location
The home is located in Matapalo, a small town with a few local stores and a close-knit community, many of whom have lived there their entire lives. The beach nearby remains largely undiscovered by most travelers, offering a tranquil and natural environment.

Fatima speaks good English and is available to assist with local advice, tour arrangements, and any other needs during your stay. She respects guest privacy.
Additional Information
The grounds are being enhanced with flowering plants, trees, and bushes. Fatima will seek your permission before any workers come to the property unless there is an emergency. The entire property is secured by a fence and locked gate.
A private chef service is available upon request. Fatima can provide contact information, but this service is separate from the house owners and listing.

The stay was great, everything is just like described and seen in the pictures. The house is really nice, all the rooms are great and also has a great yard. All instructions are super clear and Fatima is extremely helpful and welcoming! Fatima can help you a lot with planning excursions and food recommendations. She helped us plan a horseback riding excursion that was really cool, would overall really recommend the stay.

The evening before we were going to check in we were notified about a major issue with the property. While we understand that the circumstances were outside the owners control, we were informed far too late for us to change our plans, our itinerary and find new accommodations. As such, we had no choice but to continue with our stay. The owner did offer some compensation, but overall the stay was very disappointing and we would not stay here again. Also please note that there are several dogs & cats at this property. We love animals so it was no issue for us, but something renters should be aware of.

We stayed here Easter Week 2026. House and pool are nice. Good with small children. Good AC and good internet. Be careful with bugs. (We had flying beetles that came at night, entered the house even with doors and windows closed, but owner/caretaker was quick and responsive to help us rid them). There is an onsite caretaker (Fatima). Wonderfull woman. Beach is miles long and flat ..kids can run on it and almost no one on it but surf (Swimming in ocean) is tough for small children. Several nearby inexpensive restaurants. Quepos (and Manuel Antonio Park) is overrun with tourists, go south to Dominical. (Guide at Manual Antonio says park has 5000 visitors a day). Dominical - Cute town, on the beach, with several restaurants and a few shops. (Also a good doctor and pharmacy). Restaurant prices were very reasonable. Lots of fresh tropical fruit and smoothies.

Nice place. Great location. Short walk to a huge beach that had minimal people. Mini supermarket nearby. Fatima was very responsive and made great recommendations.

Nice cottage close to the beach. The pool and slide provided a lot of fun for the kids. A great option for a few days 🙂

Fatima was very responsive, helpful, and kind! We were very appreciative of her help. Overall the Airbnb was not very clean when we arrived- dirty bathroom, clogged shower drain, and dusty surfaces. Fatima responded very quickly for our request for support with the drain / bathroom needing to be cleaned. It appeared as if no one had stayed there for a while. There were multiple issues with hot water several times which made things really challenging with toddlers. Additionally there were several nests of bugs outside the property- one of flies which Fatima was able to have taken care of for us and a wasp nest right above the front door. The location was exactly what we were looking for- private and in nature. We saw several animals just sitting at the property and the local beaches were beautiful. I would suspect that the pictures of this property were taken several years ago, because it seems worn out. I don’t think that the cost was appropriate for the status of the property.

we had a wonderful time at this beautiful house! the house is incredible, very private, 3 min walk to the beach, a spacious backyard for children, a pool that is cleaned daily, and very close to Dominical -- a very cute surf town! Fatima and her family are amazing. so helpful and sweet! Monika and William provided us with 3 pack and plays for our babies. they went above and beyond in every way! if you are a family, I highly recommend this home. 5 stars!! we hope to be back one day soon! :)

Wonderful stay in this large house, (each with their own room!) 2 minutes from the beautiful beach! Luckily Fatima is right next door to fix all our little glitches (electricity, hot water) and help us book our activities (horseback riding!)
