Our family had a great stay and really enjoyed the space and amenities! Beautiful property! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway that is close to everything, but feels secluded. We will be back!

The house is up a hill just outside of town. The view is spectacular and definitely worth the trip up . The pool was perfect, and the sunsets were amazing. The gardens were lovely. It was better than I expected. The road up is a little rough and steep so having a car was helpful for access to the markets and restaurants. I will definitely come back. It is a great place to stay with friends as there are 3 separate areas with great communal spaces. As my friend said, the view is more interesting than my book. The whole stay was seamless and relaxing.

We found it hard to leave Colina del Mar because the house is so comfortable and beautiful, and the view is spectacular! We particularly enjoyed the outdoor living room on the shaded patio, the lush mature gardens and the fantastic salt-water infinity pool, overlooking that jaw-dropping view! The shaded poolside palapa quicly became a very popular shot. I loved waking up in the gorgeous principal bedroom and opening the curtains to a bougainvilla-covered balcony to the magnificent view of ocean, estuary, and mountains in the distance. We appreciated the large, fully stocked kitchen and various dining options (indoors and outdoors). And we found both of the two living rooms (one with a 65" TV) very comfortable. The configuration of the spacious property is designed to afford everyone privacy. The staff is friendly and discreet, and Juan Carlos, the care-taker (who is fluent English and Spanish) was extremely helpful! We can't wait to return next year!

Casa Colina Del Mar is a wonderful and beautiful appointed home. It was perfect for our family of 12. Plenty of space and beds for everyone. Having maid service and a gardener made it even better! The view from every room plus the infinity pool was perfect especially since we were coming from a cold climate with little snow right now. It was disappointing not having a quiet stay. Had we been told via Tropical Vacations that there would be loud construction noise from 7 am to 6 pm we would have reconsidered using the home. Add the numerous diesel trucks up and down the dusty road was very frustrating. The large multistory building that causes all this issue will not be completed for some time. Shame on us for not realizing that once you book and put down money that they reservation will not be changed. Once the nearby building is complete we would definitely stay in the home!

Beautiful series of casitas on the same property and an extremely responsive caretaker who made everything better and easier! The other reviews about the severity of the hill are very real - it's quite steep and a proper costa rican dirt road - but is walkable (took us about 25 min and we did it several times, although during the dry season). House has every imagineable item and felt more like someone's home that i was using than i have otherwise experiences with airbnb rentals. We loved it!

We absolutely loved our stay in tamarindo. The house is stunning and super clean. It has multiple casitas which makes it great for a large group. The host was very helpful and easy to contact. The house is at the top of the hill so you will need a car or Uber to get around but it was totally worth it for the view. We would definitely love to come back!

The house was located almost at the top of a hill and provided INCREDIBLE views while still being 5 minutes way from the town and all of its places of interest. Juan Carlos was attentive, helpful, and always willing to provide advice or tips to make our stay more pleasant. I definitely recommend it.

The house is beautiful and has an amazing view, but it’s on a high hill which is also very steep this makes it not walkable a car is definitely needed. We read that you can hear the ocean through the balconies and and yes you can hear it but really made us think we could walk. Prior to our arrival I asked for a “late checkout” only 2 extra hours basically to keep our luggage and just change to airport clothes after going for breakfast. The lady said we could figure it out a couple of days before we left, it sounded like it would not be a big deal. The day prior of our departure she hadn’t reached out so I emailed her and she responded back saying that we could stay if we paid 50% of a full day meaning paying US$1382.50 for the 2 extra hours, they could’ve pro-rated the hours. Anyway they ended up letting us stay but we only found out at 8:33 am on the day we were leaving and they were going to start cleaning an hour before our checkout, so needless to say the day before and the last day were more stressful than needed.
