The home is situated on Pacific Canyon Drive, a prestigious area known for upscale vacation rentals. It is just a five-minute walk to the main road leading to Manuel Antonio National Park and Playa Espadilla, the region’s primary public beach. Nearby amenities include restaurants, bars, shops, a bank, and a butterfly garden. Several beaches are also within easy reach, and a short drive takes you to Quepos and the Pez Vela marina.

Important Information

• The home is built into a steep hillside with a quarter-mile private gated driveway that is paved but steep in places.
• The driveway provides a peaceful sanctuary away from the noise of party houses, tour vans, and motorcycles.
• Walking, running, hiking, or using a rental car or 4x4 taxi is necessary to reach the main gate for outings. Tour vans cannot access the driveway due to its steepness.
• The concierge can arrange rental cars or 4x4 taxis for guest pickups. A proper four-wheel-drive vehicle (4x4 or AWD) is required if renting a car.
• Luggage service is provided on arrival and departure days.

Cancellation Policy

Due to potential changes in government regulations or unforeseen personal circumstances, guests are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance that covers cancellations for any reason. Unless permitted by Airbnb’s cancellation policy, reservations cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

Visitor and Vendor Policy

To maintain safety, security, and compliance with licensing and insurance requirements, Casa Mogambo does not allow guests to contract outside vendors, chefs, spa services, or other onsite services independently, including those offered through Airbnb. Unauthorized overnight guests are not permitted. All services must be coordinated through the villa’s concierge, who can provide an approved list of vendors. Grocery and meal deliveries are allowed.

Additional Notes

Guests will enjoy frequent close encounters with diverse wildlife, often surpassing what is seen in the national park, all within the privacy of their own nature reserve. Daily sightings may include howler, titi, and capuchin monkeys, sloths, toucans, macaws, and more.

During many months, whales, often mother-calf pairs, can be spotted from the balconies as the coastal waters serve as prime breeding and feeding grounds.
