Such a peaceful location that is only a five minute drive from the beautiful Playa Carillo and 15 to Samara. We loved all the Halloween crabs that would scuttle out of the way on our drive to the beach, waking up to the sound of birds and howler monkeys. The kids loved the pool, the adults the deck. The house is stocked with everything you could need and more! Boogie boards, chairs and coolers for the beach and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. David was super responsive about check in and flexible since we were driving from Monteverde and there was a lot of construction on the one. Thanks for a great stay! We’d come back in a heartbeat!

The house is very nice and the property is gorgeous with a beautiful view. We enjoyed our stay, but I would echo a previous review that mentioned how hot the living areas get without AC. Another time of the year, that might not be an issue, but the July heat was no joke. We also experienced a lot of ants, spiders, and lizards inside the house, so be aware if that is something that would bother you.

Our family had a great time in Playa Carrillo and Sámara with Micheal’s place as our home base. Everything was exactly as pictured in the photos. The house has a lot of extras like boogie boards, and coolers, or contact solution and bug spray if you forgot yours at home. We had a ball playing in the pool, exploring the two beaches within walking distance, and checking out the array of wildlife on the property from a resident tiger heron, and coitis, to a troop of howler monkeys.

We had an amazing stay. The home was perfectly maintained and spotless. Design was unique and we all loved the flow. Great shopping plaza at the turn off to the gravel road. You could purchase meat, fruit, vegetables along with baked goods. Thanks for the stay

We absolutely loved our stay, dear Michael. The place was very peaceful, although just a few minutes' drive from Carrillo Beach and local shops. We were able to see monkeys, iguanas, and lots of birds there. We were even able to witness the annual migration of the Halloween crabs! We also took full advantage of the pool! Finally, David, the local property manager, welcomed us on the day of our arrival and was able to answer any questions we had. In short, a great family stay and a wonderful introduction to Costa Rica for our little ones. Thank you!

We loved the property. Extremely private and quiet (other then ocean waves and birds and monkeys). Lots of wildlife at the house. We saw iguanas, parrots, monkeys and raccoons. The house is well stocked with tons of dishes for eating at the house, but also little things like soaps and lotions and sunscreens, hairdryers etc. Owners and local manager are very responsive. Overall the house is very nice and the design is very cool. Couple “good to knows” for renters: As mentioned in the ad, the rooms are very separate.. so not ideal if you go with younger kids. They’ll be in a “different house” essentially. We were warned so it was fine. There is no AC in the main living area, so you’ll want to hang out in the bedrooms during the afternoon, be gone on an adventure, or be in the pool. In the mornings and evenings it’s pleasant with just the fans. The windows are incredible for feeling like you’re in the jungle - enjoying the views etc, but there are no curtains

Casa Que Pasa was amazing! Beautiful and spacious, well appointed for a vacation beach home. Incredible views of the ocean. The hosts/owners were outstanding and thoughtful. The local caretaker was immediately responsive. Highly recommend using Sámara Adventures for any trips/tours. return again in the future

Exceptional villa surrounded by vegetation, advantageously located overlooking the sea, near the beautiful beach of Carrillo and many restaurants. On the ground floor, the caulking of the doors would benefit from improvement. We had many visitors (lizards, spiders and a scorpion). For the rest, everything is perfect and the stay was up to our expectations.
