Important Notes and Local Considerations

While Costa Rica’s infrastructure is improving, occasional outages of power, water, and internet may occur during your stay. These interruptions are beyond the control of the homeowner and management and may happen without prior notice.

Nosara, including Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada, is a rapidly developing area. Construction noise may be present, typically between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., sometimes starting as early as 6 a.m. We strive to keep guests informed about any nearby projects but do not always receive advance warnings.

Please contact us before booking if you have any concerns, as refunds or concessions will not be provided for outages or construction noise.

The property is privately owned. The owners and managers are not liable for accidents, injuries, illnesses, or loss and theft of personal belongings during your stay.

Safety and Security Tips

Nosara is a beachfront community where petty theft can occur. To help protect your belongings, please follow these recommendations:

1. Always lock doors and windows when leaving the property or at night. Report any malfunctioning locks immediately.
2. Do not leave valuables or personal items outside when you are away. This includes electronics and identification documents.
3. Keep vehicles locked and avoid leaving valuables in plain sight.

Consider travel insurance that covers theft for additional protection. Despite precautions, there is always some risk, and owners and managers are not responsible for losses due to theft.

Rental Rules and Conditions

• The property is in a residential area with quiet hours starting at 9 p.m., strictly enforced.
• Only flush toilet paper; use bathroom wastebaskets for other items. Flushable wipes are not flushable.
• Maintain the property and furnishings in good condition. Damages or excessive cleaning costs will be deducted from the damage deposit.
• Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings and structures; outdoor smoking is allowed.
• Only registered guests may stay overnight. Visitors are the responsibility of the registered guests.
• Use appliances only for their intended purposes.
• Park vehicles only in designated areas.
• Do not take bathroom towels to the beach.
• Return all keys before checkout; failure to do so will incur a $150 charge.
• Do not use the premises for improper purposes or cause disturbances to neighbors or the environment.

Insects are common in Costa Rica’s environment; owners and managers are not responsible for their presence beyond what they can control. Please contact management with any concerns before booking.
