The Space
Apartamentos Veranera offers comfortable accommodations just minutes from the beautiful Playa Grande beach. From your private patio, you can enjoy the soothing sound of the ocean while sitting at your outdoor table. The property is within walking distance to local bars and restaurants.
There are four apartments in total:
- Two two-bedroom units located on the ground floor
- Two one-bedroom units situated on the top floor
Each apartment includes:
- A fully equipped kitchen
- A private bathroom
- A personal porch

Location
Playa Grande is home to the Las Baulas National Park and offers a variety of activities such as sunbathing, swimming, and surfing. Guests can also participate in night tours to observe the giant leatherback turtles nesting on the beach directly in front of the apartments.
The area is conveniently located:
- One hour from Liberia International Airport
- Twenty minutes from Tamarindo Airport
Activities and Excursions
Guests can book daily trips to nearby volcanoes, including:
- Arenal Volcano
- Rincón de la Vieja Volcano
These excursions offer opportunities for hiking, canopy tours, relaxing in hot springs, and visiting hummingbird gardens.

I’ve stayed at Steve’s place several times. Beautiful grounds, clean apartment, amazing location, quick walk to the beach, great value as always. Definitely recommend.

Apartamento Veranera por tercera vez! 🦋 Ort und Unterkunft sind toll. Hervorragende, ruhige Lage und extrem strandnah. Handtücher, Bettwäsche, etc. sehr gute Qualität. Wir haben schon anderes erlebt in CR. Supermarkt, Fruteria und diverse Strände sind fußläufig erreichbar, ein Auto ist nicht unbedingt nötig. Steve hat schnell geantwortet, er ist ein zuverlässiger, sehr guter Gastgeber. Der Check Inn war einfach und problemlos. Lasst euch auf „Pura Vida“ ein, dann kommt die Erholung von allein. Wir kommen bestimmt auch ein viertes Mal. 🇨🇷🔆

Apartamentos verana was amazing, I stayed here for a whole month and have family and friends visit periodically. Beautiful house and surroundings, everything you need is within walking distance.

Perfect Playa Grande surfer’s retreat. I’ve been traveling in Costa Rica for over 30 yrs, and returning to Playa Grande annually for the last 20yrs, and this is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. I would definitely stay there again. (so nice to have a full kitchen!). Location is spot-on for walking to the waves, several restaurants and markets for necessary things. Highlight of this little spot is the balcony overlooking the village; Amazing spot for your morning coffee. Security from petty theft is good (there is a locked gate to the 4 unit building). I was traveling solo this time but would bring my wife here for sure; Perfect size for a couple. Finally: Although Playa Grande is experiencing the same explosion of growth/building as everywhere else, most of the area around the apartment is built out; There was only one home under construction behind me and the noise wasn’t offensive (and they didn’t start too early or continue too late).

It is near to the beach and affordable restaurants. It was hit so we appreciated the air conditioning The communication was great Would recommend if you like surfing and relaxing

Steve’s place is great. Exactly as described, clean and only 5min walk to the beach. Lots to do nearby. I would recommend to anyone.

Super close to beach and a nice restaurant selections nearby. Much more quieter and relaxing alternative to Tamarindo beach.
