Magdalena and all of her vendors were lovely. They were all flexible and accommodating. The chef, the driver all tried very hard to provide a wonderful experience. The space in and of itself is beautiful, the master staircases are gorgeous. The view is beautiful, especially from the bedroom of the master suite. Our only hesitation in the difference between 4 and 5 stars are little things. There was a lot of sargassum on the beach (out of their control of course) but there was a lot of trash mixed in with the sargassum. The view from the master balcony was beautiful, but the chair cushions were mismatched and the chairs were kind of worn. It wasn’t as luxurious of a space to sit and enjoy the view as I had hoped! The kitchen was lovely, but felt a bit dated. The toilets, because it is in a small town in Mexico, require disposing of toilet paper in a garbage can and not flushing, which was just a little different for us. That said, we loved it and had an amazing time!

They were always attentive to making sure the place was amazing, but they took a long time to respond. When the news about the insecurity in Mexico came out, we wanted to change the date so we could have a more peaceful stay, but they didn’t want to change it. The chef asked us to pay 100%. They didn't want to properly adjust the prices for the service when they canceled the attendance of some guests due to the security situation in the country. The company recommended to me on Airbnb for all the food logistics never provided the chef’s expense reports. Other than that, the food was delicious, the chef was super attentive, the house is very nice, and we had a very comfortable stay. The staff is always very friendly. We just felt they could have been more flexible with the situation.

We had an unforgettable stay at Hacienda Tankah! The property is stunning, with spacious, well-maintained rooms that comfortably accommodated our group of 14. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and at home in this beautiful setting. The highlight of our trip was the exceptional service from Rosa, Carmen, and Jose. Their warmth, attention to detail, and flexibility truly elevated our experience. Every meal they prepared was a delicious celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine, and their hospitality made us feel incredibly well cared for. Beach access directly in front of the house was limited due to seasonal seaweed buildup, but the beauty of the area and the overall experience far outweighed that. The host and her team were consistently responsive and accommodating. We enjoyed every moment and would absolutely return. Hacienda Tankah is perfect for families or groups looking for a peaceful, luxurious escape with top-notch service. Highly recommended!

Tino was an excellent chef! He and Rosa took wonderful care of the home and food for all 10 guests and even made me a fantastic birthday cake. They provided everything we needed for a special occasion trip. The home was absolutely gorgeous with stunning views of the water. They even helped us schedule massages on the balcony of the home. 10 out of 10! Thanks Tino and Rosa!

We had a great time, stayed here with my family for my 50th birthday. We had Tino as our chef, did an excellent job accommodating our requests and several picky eaters. The housekeeper and groundskeeper were great at keeping everything very nice, they were always getting things cleaned without us even noticing! The views were perfect, everyone loved their rooms. The house was exactly as shown in the pictures, and the pool was great. We stayed at the end of January, so the pool was a little cool, but refreshing after being in the sun. The house is in a private neighborhood, so it is a drive down a long road to get to it, so arrange transportation ahead of time unless you are familiar with driving in Mexico. Do the same for trips to the town or ruins. The host made that convenient, so no issue, and I recommend letting them arrange the transportation. There is a Cenote and hotel bar a 15 minute walk up the street but otherwise not much around. Perfect for a private stay.
