We stayed here with a group of 10 and overall had a great experience. The location is fantastic: walkable to town, close to everything, yet still surrounded by nature. The outdoor spaces were a huge highlight for our group: lush greenery, frequent visits from monkeys and iguanas, and beautiful views of the estuary made mornings and evenings especially memorable. It really felt like being immersed in Costa Rica. Communication with the host was also very good. Responsive, clear, and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated with a larger group. The only thing future guests should be aware of is nighttime noise. The house sits very close to the road, and without a nearby speed bump, motorcycles and cars can be quite loud throughout the night. We’re heavy sleepers and still noticed it, so earplugs are definitely recommended if you’re sensitive to noise. Overall, a wonderful stay in a great location!

Wow! We just returned from our wonderful vacation. My family prefers staying in places that are quiet, surrounded by nature, and allow us to learn about the culture of people and places. This stay was perfect. The backyard is huge and stunning, providing the main common area for gathering with family. The rooms are clean and comfortable, each with its own bathroom. The gate from the backyard opens to the river, which guests are unable to enter because of crocodiles. However, we walked down the sand to the ocean in about three minutes. To walk to town, we walked about 10 minutes along the beach and then cut through to the street. The reverse walk home is more challenging at night because the beach is very dark and there is no sidewalk on the second half of the walk. so just be watchful of cars or rent a golf cart, or Uber, if you don’t have your own car. Toni and Miguel were welcoming and helpful. We loved sitting around the fire pit on our last night. Highly recommend!

Toni was a great host, very responsive and kind, and the grounds were gorgeous. We saw and hear monkeys and lizards, and the fire pit was replenished each day. What a treat to be so close to the ocean and the water! The only negative was that the original listing said laundry was available, but it wasn't when we were there. They did our laundry for an additional fee, but we would have packed slightly differently if we knew we couldn't do loads of laundry ourselves.

We had an amazing stay. The property is right on the sand in the estuary with the swimming beach a short walk away. This property is not your typical house, it is very costa rican and gets you outside to enjoy nature. There is no indoor common space, but your common space is the entire outdoors in the large and gorgeous yard. We had a large group of 10 and we never felt crowded, the bedrooms are spread out, and there is plenty of seating outside. The rooms were comfortable. We saw monkeys nearly every morning climbing through the trees, several iguanas, some parrots came by one morning. We did not see the sloth while we were there. The host was very responsive, always ready to answer any questions and willing to manage any issue. We had an issue with batteries on a lock and she was very responsive and it was taken care of right away. It is a great property you won't find one similar in Tamarindo.

We are so happy to have found this perfect beach bungalow. Miguel and Mary made our stay convenient and comfortable. The photos are accurate, the house was clean and we had everything we needed and more. The outdoor space is so dreamy and the close proximity to the beach made getting around easy. We had coffee with howler monkeys and used the outdoor grill for a family feast. We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay and will definitely be back. Book it!!

Nos encantó la ubicación, tener acceso directo a la playa no tiene comparación. El patio afuera de la casa con mesa y parrilla y mucho espacio para los niños jugar estuvo lindísimo.

Amazing location in Tamarindo! Right on the beach, short walk into town - but you might want to rent a golf cart anyway. Mary and Miguel were very responsive, and connected us with someone to help with all our activities. Could not have asked for a better time, thank you!

Wir haben die Zeit in Marys Haus sehr genossen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Miguel begrüßt und umsorgt. Das Haus hat ohne Frage eine einfache Ausstattung - hat aber alles was man braucht. Luxus darf man keinen erwarten. Pura Vida !!!!!!!!

We had a fantastic stay at Mary's place! Great location right on the beach and just a few minutes walk from surfing, restaurants, and nightlife in Tamarindo. The house was perfect for our group, we appreciated all the amenities, especially laundry. We also loved taking the kayaks out in the morning and sitting by the firepit in the evenings. Mary, Miguel, and the staff were all great, extremely responsive, friendly, and flexible. Will absolutely try to stay here again next time we are in Tamarindo!
