The home is well secluded, yet only a short drive from the town of Santa Elena.

Guests have full access to the entire house and are welcome to explore the property, which includes several small walking trails. A washer and dryer are available for laundry needs, with a service fee of $10 if you prefer us to handle the washing for you.
Additional Information
I am happy to assist with booking tours such as horseback riding—my personal favorite—bird watching, night tours, and zip lining. I can also provide excellent recommendations for activities and places to visit in the area.

We loved our stay, the apartment felt very homely and had every we needed. Its a bit cooler in Monteverde that other area, so it was really nice to have a log burner. A few small things that we didn't think of before travelling was the need for a kettle and dehumidifier, thus place had both. Its very hard to dry anything with the humidity. The beds are very firm, which took a bit of getting used to. On the final morning we saw monkeys playing in the trees outside the apartment, which was a nice way to finish. Definitely recommend 👌

Overall this place is fine if you're looking for a safe and clean place to sleep, but aren't really looking for a place to hang out. The balcony is the shining star, but the rest is very lacking in charm. Some artwork and table lamps would go a long way! There was construction going on right out front, so we were met with a tractor, wheel barrow, etc upon arrival. It was only loud one morning, but it definitely ruined the vibe of a peaceful jungle vacation. We also did not see a single animal, not even a bird, which was a little disappointing. The host was extremely accommodating and communicative, which is why it gets 4 stars from me. She let us keep our things in the rental and return for them in the afternoon so we didn't have to keep them in the car while we went hiking, which was greatly appreciated. The location is tricky to find the first time and I'd highly recommend a vehicle with 4WD vehicle. There's an amazing pizzeria nearby! You must visit Pizzería Rome if you stay here!

Yessenia is a great host! She is incredibly responsive and kind. The house would be perfect for a dry season stay but, because of the rain, smelled and felt damp - an addressable problem if there is enough renting interest to make it worth her while.

We enjoyed our stay. Yessenia was not in town, but she had a few local people who could help us. She was great with communication for whatever we needed before and during our trip. One brought over dry wood for the woodburning stove when we asked for it. This is the perfect place to stay at if you are interested in star gazing. As it is away from the town of Santa Elena there is absolutely no light pollution. The stars are increadible. The side of the home that faces the forest is mostly floor to ceiling glass so it give you amazing views. It was great to wake up and see a beautiful Golden-Bellied Flycatcher on a tree right outside the house. Each day we went into town and took advantage of all the things to see in the cloud forests. Make sure to do a night tour. On the night tour we saw 4 sloths, a toucan, hummingbirds and vipers. Also make a stop for dinner at a small family restaurant called Canton 83.

I was planning on staying longer, but the place was not what I expected. It looks like it used to be nice. Now, it's run down, moldy, smelly, and very poorly kept. Water filters in from the roof, windows, and glass doors. The trash collector in the garden was never emptied the whole time I was there, and it smells. The host and manager were not very helpful, and they didn't really seem to care that there were so many ammenities missing (even the heaters) and just said they were too busy to help. I kept asking for extra blankets, and they kept saying no. I was there for a little over 1 month, and they never gave me extra sheets or towels or anything. I would not recommend this place if they don't fix all the problems it has and never for long stays.

This Airbnb stay was fantastic! The place was very clean and had all the kitchen tools we needed. Exploring the on-site nature trail was a delightful bonus. Gretel, our local experience host, was incredible. She assisted with laundry and offered fantastic advice on food and shopping. We even had the privilege of learning about her family's organic farm and restaurant, where we purchased farm-fresh eggs and enjoyed a delicious meal. For adventure enthusiasts, there's nearby zip-lining, and the Bon Appétit restaurant is great for a nice meal and wine. The house is spacious, well-equipped, and has a lovely private balcony for bird-watching and sunset views. Yessenia, the owner and host, was exceptionally sweet, ensuring our needs were met. The pet-friendly policy was perfect for our dog. She even has a dog bowl there for use. I highly recommend this place, ideal for families, offering comfort, nature, and warm hospitality for an unforgettable getaway.

Thank you Yessenia, we truly enjoyed our long stay at your home. We never got tired of the mountain view. You and Gretel have helped us so many times I can't count them. To anyone looking for a great Airbnb in Santa Elena/Montverde, all I can say is my wife and I found it perfect. We were so glad to be away from the bustle of town. It is a great place to decompress. It is quiet, has astounding views of the mountains on the wrap around porch, comfortable with a gracious friendly host and owner, super friendly people. We did not have a car but taxis are inexpensive and it's not to far from town. The kitchen is very well equipped. They just installed a wood stove and there is lots of firewood which is nice to watch through the glass front, nice touch. There are plenty of tours of the many cloud forests of the area, one of the best zip lines in Costa Rica is within easy walking distance and is a must do. You can hear the cries of delight from the porch. Nice beds and furniture

This is a really great place to stay - awesome view, feels and sounds like you are in the middle of the Cloud Forest, and perfect location for 100% aventura excursions! Good to see: there's one restaurant down the street with AWESOME food and another amazing view - just follow the signs to the Finca (or ask about it when you check in), having a cup of coffee on the deck is a bit of heaven, and the couch and chairs inside are nice to just talk, play games, have a talent show. :-) Things to consider: Bring food/snacks/drinks with you because there's not a store nearby, it is a bumpy ride to get there and 4x4 was helpful, if you are going on one of the 100% aventura excursions - plan to go on the 8am tours and you have plenty of time to come back and shower before packing up! PS this is my 12yr old's favorite place of all of Costa Rica (he likes the rain, fyi). :-)
