Loved staying at Sunset Retreat! Perfect mix of close to everything and privacy. Cant wait to come back on next trip out!

Beware that this house is less then 5 feet from a bar with no walls and EXTREMELY loud music! The bar had a beer bottle fight happen at like 830 one night. drug dealers right outsidecthe back porch. And the open bar looking down on the porch made it extremely difficult to relax on the back porch. Not the safest feeling. The house itself was very nice and clean. Its just that the location was way to loud and unsafe feeling to really enjoy.

As far as the Air BnB goes, this house was very clean and nice with plenty of space. We really enjoyed the setup and the house itself. The reason for the 4 star is not the host or the house, it was just that there was a lot going on outside. There was street noise until 3am and then started back up at 5am. Also, in the evenings on the deck, the bar next door caused us to get bothered by the bartender when they were slow and patrons when they were drinking. This was pretty overwhelming for us coming from a quiet secluded home. I think if you are used to city life, you would have no issues. Thanks!

After reading previous reviews about the bar next door and the noise level I didn’t think it would be much of an issue so I booked it. The first night we were there I actually checked the windows due to the music being extremely loud. I thought for sure they had to be open however they were not. This went on each night. There is also an electronics store across the street that had very loud music going at 8am. The home is located right before the bridge and is an extremely high traffic area which also contributes to the noise level. If you’re looking for a more relaxing place to stay this would not be your spot. The home itself was great. Seemed to be very clean and we had no issues while there. The host was very responsive to any questions I had. It’s a pretty convenient area of town.

Overall, the hosts were very accommodating and responsive. They assisted in arranging ground travel and answered our questions promptly. The dryer in our unit was not working when we arrived and they had someone out the next morning to repair, which was great. Location is good. On the con side, the noise from the bar next door was challenging. This was listed in other reviews and the hosts provided ear plugs and noise machines but I would say the loud music next door just a few feet away impacted our ability to enjoy the home. This is coming from someone who has lived in NYC and has a high tolerance for noise. If you are ok dealing with noise next door, I would recommend.

Stay here for a week with 4 girls and the house offered us everything we needed. Tons of space, patio facing the beach, extra beach towels, comfy beds, a fully stocked kitchen, strong wifi, and AC. The shower water pressure was slow but nothing unexpected for an island. The location felt more local compared to the resorts which we liked and there was plenty of coffee shops, bakeries, food, and bars within a 5 min walk. The main downtown area was closer to a 20 min walk. It is right next to a bar with loud music but we could sleep without issues. Overall, we were super appreciative of this house and the hosts for helping us get golf carts quickly, address issues with maintenance, coordinating flights and taxis and ferries for us, and going out of the way for us.

Great place to stay. There was a bar next door that was open late and loud; also didn’t expect the park behind the property. No outdoor privacy. Other than that; the staff and communication were amazing and the house was exactly what we expected.
