We didn't have a car. Michael and Sandra's home is a bit out of town but easy to walk to restaurants and some activities. Taxis are readily available and some activities (such as Selvatura) provide transportation. The cabin is exactly as described. The best part is the hosts, Michael and Sandra, who go out of their way to help, including providing advice and booking tours.

This house is a great place to stay from great people. Sandra helped us book the excursions and organized everything for us. Michael showed us all the animals in the adjacent park during the night tour, gave us great information, and we were able to photograph the animals with the telescope. There is everything you need in the house – including warm blankets, because it was cool at night. Clear recommendation for Green Habitat with Michael and Sandra!!!

A perfect stay with Sandra and Michael. They are such great hosts, and the house is beautiful. Be sure to take a tour with Michael. We had an exciting night hike with many animals. Then, unfortunately, it was booked out. Tip: Enquire before arrival

Sandra and Michael could not be better hosts. They were very friendly and super knowledgeable about the area, and as a guide and a biologist they are a great resource for your trip to Montverde. It always seems that great people provide great places to stay. Green Habitat is in a great location being walking distance to the Monteverde Brewing Company, and the Wildlife Refuge Monteverde where you should definitely go with Michael as your guide. We went on a night walk with Michael and not only did we see lots of incredible stuff (a margay even!) Michael had a great scope to get close up views. The two bedroom cabin was cute, clean, safe and had everything for a great stay. A special shout-out to Sandra who even after we left kept us updated on road conditions and checked on us to make sure we arrived at our next destination.

We really enjoyed our stay at Michael and Sandra's for a short visit to the area. We didn't get a chance to meet Michael, but we must point out that Sandra is very welcoming and very helpful. She also organized our great night tour in the reserve, which is a short walk from their accommodation, during which we saw many animals. We were also very lucky to see many capuchin monkeys from our accommodation on our first morning. :) Recommended!

The place was beautiful and exactly as described – in the middle of nature, quiet and surrounded by beautiful greenery. We felt very comfortable there. A special highlight was the night hike with Michael. With a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm, he guided us through the forest at night and showed us many exciting animals. 🦥🐍🐸 Sandra was very helpful and supported us with great information and tips on what else we could do in the area. Thank you for the wonderful time – we will be happy to come back!

Lovely home to stay while in Monteverde. Home was designed with practical functionality along with its amenities. Sandra and Michael were great hosts. We also booked Michael as our night tour guide. The reserve was within walking distance from the home. He was very informative and spotted many amazing animals for us to see.
