The Space
This peaceful, single-level home offers a private retreat with a chic, modern, and luxurious design. The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen areas form the heart of the house, centered around the pool, yard, and serene surroundings. Both the front and back entrances feature custom-built sliding screen doors that invite natural light, rain, and the sounds of nature into the main living space throughout the day and night.
The residence includes four bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. Two identical master suites come with a seating area, workspace, and full-size closets. The other two bedrooms are furnished with a full-size bed and a twin bunk bed, along with shelving for clothing storage during your stay.
A live-in property manager is available onsite to assist with check-in and check-out, familiarize guests with the home and grounds, answer questions, and share local insights.

The location is lovely and the property has potential, but our overall experience didn’t meet expectations. During our stay, communication with the property manager was smooth and attentive, which we appreciated. However, several important amenities were either missing or not working properly. There was no TV or microwave, the fridge was very small and unfortunately not functioning, and the pool was not well maintained—it had a lot of frogs and didn’t feel clean. These issues impacted our ability to fully enjoy and relax during our stay. After our departure, I reached out to the host to request a partial refund, but the response felt more like an attempt to avoid responsibility rather than an effort to resolve the situation. A late check-out was offered, but it didn’t really compensate for the inconvenience. With more attention to detail and guest care, this place could offer a much better experience.

Celina has an awesome property manager, Marina, who answered all of our questions and requests quickly. She even got us groceries that we had requested prior to arrival! The rooms were well air conditioned and beautifully decorated. We also enjoyed the pool and the beautiful surrounding. The town of Playa Negra itself was wonderful- we enjoyed the beach and nearby restaurants! While we loved the house in general, we had a lot of problems with the hot water. Half of the house only had cold water in the showers and the pressure was very low. We ended up only using the showers on one side of the house. The living room and kitchen had no air conditioning but it was ok bc of the breeze that came through!

Wonderful stay with our four kids! Off the beaten path, but close to many activities, restaurants, etc. Great house for families or groups, comfortable, clean and quiet. Property manager, Marina, did a 10 out of 10 job with her responsiveness, recommendations and assistance in helping arrange activities, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend!

This home in the jungle is so beautiful and peaceful; it's within a long walk or short drive to multiple great restaurants as well as the beach (the beach right there is amazing). The 4 bedrooms are separated apart but the shared space in the middle is great for gathering. The deck and pool are very relaxing!

This was our second time staying here. We loved it so much last year that we had to come back. Celina’s home is so peaceful and beautiful, it was the escape that our family really needed. Marina, the house manger is great too. Very friendly and helpful. We hope we will have many more stays in our future. It is such a treat to stay in this unique vacation home where we truly feel immersed in nature.

A stunning house in a beautiful private setting, just a 2 minute drive from Playa Negra cafes and shops. The house is clearly a home to owners we understand are California-based architects. Beautiful and just like the pictures! Marina was a wonderful local contact who made checkin, checkout, and our stay easy and fun. We will be back.

For anyone looking to come down to Playa Negra here are some bullet points for this home: A) This home is off the main road and private but only 8 mins away from Playa Negra and other beaches B) Marina who manages the property is immediately responsive to any and all requests and can also assist with reccomendations C) Rent a car. Driving around is very user friendly (download Waze) and you can explore the area D) If you want a populated town with tons of people and nightlife this is NOT the area for you. This are is peaceful and lets you be with nature as it should be. No TV's in home. E) Wifi works very good F) Wife and I are GF/Dairy free and we were able to find food. If you are hear for a prolonged period though you will rinse and repeat restaurants. G) Started each day with breakfast at Corazon Surf Cafe down the road which the site manager owns and operates H) We traveled with 4. Me, my wife, and two kids ages 7 and 5. Very beautiful place to unwind.

We loved our stay - two adults, two kids. Accommodation is exactly as described (maybe better!). Great peaceful location. Incredible support from Mariana, we arrived late and she showed a lot of flexibility. Really fun trip and we look forward to returning.

The stylish home with its peaceful outdoor and pool area provided the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday, and the nearby beach, just a short drive away, was equally calm and beautiful. Marina, the house manager, was incredibly helpful, offering great local tips and always being available when we needed her. We had an amazing time and would love to return to this serene spot in the future!
