The Space
This private colonial-style villa features a courtyard with a swimming pool. Each bedroom is air-conditioned and includes a private bathroom. The house provides beach towels, beach chairs, and a barbecue grill for guest use.
There are four bedrooms in total:
- Three bedrooms have their own full bathrooms.
- One bedroom shares a bathroom and uses a guest half bathroom.
The sleeping arrangements include:
- Two rooms with king-size beds
- One room with a queen-size bed
- One room with two single beds plus a sleeper sofa
The villa comfortably accommodates eight guests but can sleep up to ten if needed.
Design and Layout
The home is designed in the traditional style of houses found in Granada, Nicaragua. The rooms are arranged around an interior courtyard that features a pool, creating a beautiful, private, and secure environment.
Guest Access
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house throughout their stay. Amenities include:

Location
The villa is within walking distance of several restaurants and Playa Langosta beach. Tamarindo is approximately a 15-minute walk away, accessible either via the main road or along the beach during low tide.

Really enjoyed my stay at Casa Colonial. The team was quick with communication and very informative. I definitely utilized the pool every chance I got, was able to watch TV and relax in the pool. Perfect distance from Tamarindo, close enough to walk, but far enough that you’re not in the mix. 5 minute walk to a beach, 5 minute walk to a small supermarket, and 2 very close restaurants. Only down side was the room with the twin beds, it was very moist and could use a dehumidifier in there. All in all, I would stay again.

The villa was a unique style, the pool was great and with lots of floaties and supplies. Located a short walk away from a lovely local beach. The kitchen had all the necessary supplies, and the coffee and wine was a nice welcome. There were lots of bugs but we were warned about this so it was expected. The three bedrooms were spacious, however the beds and floors were quite creaky. Joost was communicative and helpful with suggestions on restaurants and activities. Highly recommend to groups of friends or family.

Location was great. About a 20 minute walk into the main town and a super easy/straight walk. The place was great and the pool is an amazing touch. Would definetely stay here again!

Beautiful house. The whole house except bedrooms (living room, kitchen and dining area) are all outside. The way the house is laid out there is very little breeze so it was very warm in July. We spent a lot of time in our individual bedrooms to get a reprieve from the heat, but the bedrooms are each good size. Because everything is outside it gets dirty quickly. I was actually surprised by how few bugs there were, but since it’s outside there were a few. It is extremely private, which was lovely and felt safe, but provides a very limited view of just a few trees. We did see a number of birds in the trees though! It was extremely convenient to walk. About a 5 min walk to Playa Langosta beach and local restaurants, and a 15 min easy flat walk to downtown Tamarindo. I would definitely recommend this house. The location is outstanding.

I stayed here with three friends for a girls’ trip, and we loved the outdoor living experience. The pool was amazing and felt very private. Overall, this was a great place to stay—we all agreed that the house made our trip even better. It was one of our favorite parts! Highly recommend!

True outdoor living! Perfect way to disconnect and get a healthy dose of fresh air. Had a great stay. The pool was definitely the highlight and was greatly appreciated to cool off whenever you needed.
