Overview

Casa Bella is an ideal retreat for families and groups, located just steps from the Caribbean Sea. Relax in the large, private pool surrounded by lush gardens, where you may spot toucans, sloths, howler monkeys, jewel-colored birds, and butterflies.

Gather in the bright living and dining room, or unwind in a hammock on the deck. The property includes six spacious bedrooms and six bathrooms, and is set in the quiet residential neighborhood of Playa Chiquita village. Excellent restaurants are nearby, and the coast’s prettiest beach is an easy five-minute walk away.

The Space

Casa Bella will be closed during October and November 2026 for renovations. The updates will transform the main house into a luxurious home away from home and will include:

• A new interior staircase providing access to the upper floor from inside the house
• A flexible space adjoining the primary bedroom that can be used as a walk-in closet or nursery
• A crib in the flexible space
• Additional square footage upstairs
• A comfortable sitting area with loveseats upstairs

Wake to the calls of howler monkeys and spend your evenings listening to night birds where the garden meets the jungle in Playa Chiquita’s peaceful residential setting.

The main house features:

• A spacious interior living and dining room
• A well-equipped kitchen for preparing family meals
• Two large, bright bedrooms on the main floor
• Queen-size beds in both main-floor bedrooms
• Air conditioning in both main-floor bedrooms
• Two main-floor bathrooms

The upper loft apartment is accessed by an exterior spiral staircase from the deck. At the top, a wide balcony offers a hammock and views of the surrounding canopy. The loft includes:

• An open living area
• One queen-size bed
• Three single beds
• A safe
• A fan
• A closet
• A three-piece bathroom

Across the pool is Caribbean-style Casita Bonita, which includes:

• A full kitchen
• Two large bedroom suites with queen-size beds
• A sitting area
• Two bathrooms

Two-story Casita Sol includes:

• One queen-size bed
• One single bed
• One bathroom
• A full kitchen
• A main-floor deck
• An upper terrace with hammocks

Pool and Outdoor Areas

The 12-by-7-meter saltwater pool is located between the main house and the casitas. A covered deck beside the pool provides a shaded place to relax and includes a 36-inch Bull barbecue for outdoor cooking.

The property also offers:

Guest Access

Guests have access to Casa Bella, Casita Bonita, and Casita Sol, depending on the size of their group and the number of bedrooms required. Only the spaces needed for your group are prepared, as the property is rented to one group at a time.

Guests also have full access to:

• The swimming pool
• The pool deck
• The barbecue
• Secure on-site parking for four to five cars

Additional Information

The property is well suited to relaxing with family and friends, with beautiful gardens, a large pool, excellent restaurants, and beaches just steps away.

The local grocery store is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week. If you arrive late and would like breakfast supplies waiting at the house, an initial grocery shop can be arranged.

Each stay includes:

• A welcome basket with coffee, beverages, and treats
• A starter supply of dish soap
• Toilet paper
• Drinking water
• Garbage bags

Special requests can be arranged in advance.

Rooms that are not needed by your group remain empty. Please enter the correct number of guests when booking so the website can calculate the appropriate price.

Enhanced between-stay cleaning protocols are followed, with cleaning performed by a professional cleaning company. The neighborhood is safe, and the property is secure.

Playa Chiquita and Local Community

Playa Chiquita is a distinctive community where local families and residents from abroad enjoy a peaceful lifestyle surrounded by gardens, jungle, wildlife, and pura vida.

Guests interested in regenerative tourism can receive suggestions for supporting local wildlife and community initiatives. Casa Bella prioritizes working with local people and contributing to the local economy. The property is a legal vacation rental, pays all required taxes, and donates to local wildlife rescue centers.

The staff includes Melvin, a Costa Rican man who works full-time for the property and supports his family. Cleaning services are provided by a woman-run local business. Recommended chefs, surf and yoga instructors, and other activity providers are either local individuals or active participants in regenerative tourism.
