Private Entire Home Beachfront Backyard A/C & WIFI

This place is a gem. Locals asked why we stayed in Playa Matapalo as it is remote, but we can’t imagine a better location to stay. The beach is amazing and straight out the back door. You are walking from the rainforest directly onto the beach. Smoothest sand I’ve ever felt. Turtle rescue hatchery is a 5 minute walk down the beach, be sure to check this out in the late afternoon as they release the baby turtles. Keep an eye out in the afternoon as a troop of monkeys with pass through the property. We even had a sloth chilling in a tree next door for 3 days. Macaws passed by a few times, but found a huge group at the public beach just down the road. Eat at the Matapalo Supper Club in town for a fantastic unique experience. Local horseback ride on the beach with Angelo was a great and memorable experience. House has all of the beach supplies you need. Be sure to pick up groceries in Quepos on the way as there is limited options in town.

The location of this spot was a magical dream. The beach is a gorgeous, beautiful wide chocolate sand beach that goes forever in both directions. There was a huge shady place to hang hammocks between the house and the beach. We were 5 in total, Abuela (79), two kids (6 & 11) and myself and my husband. We all absolutely loved this home and location and would absolutely return.

Kaleigh’s home was beautiful in a wonderful area. Very private despite having other homes nearby. The beach was nearly empty the entire time we were there. We really appreciated having beach chairs and a boogie board available. Watching the monkeys and other animals was a fun time. The nearby restaurant and store A Kachete was helpful. Close enough to Dominical for a quick drive with nice restaurants and shops. Lots to do nearby. Despite the concerns about crime in the area we experienced no problems at all. I would highly recommend the home for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Wer das Meer und Tiere mag, der sollte dieses Haus unbedingt buchen. Die Sonnenuntergänge sind wirklich spektakulär! Wir wurden von Affen und Leguanen besucht und haben auf der anderen Straßenseite ein Faultier entdeckt. Der direkte Zugang zum Meer ist toll und der Strand wird nur von wenigen Menschen besucht. Das Haus war sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was benötigt wird. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen, haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen und würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

The most beautiful views, a cozy home with everything you would need & very kind and responsive host(s)! Kaleigh always helped leading up to the trip and Rolando was incredibly informative and helpful upon arrival. Will be coming back!

Everything was beautiful and perfect! Was clean we were met promptly. They were plenty of supplies in the kitchen and the beds were comfortable. We especially like the location on the beach. Thank you so much!

Excellent location, beautiful beach, amazing sunsets, lots of wildlife out back, peaceful setting, loved the outdoor shower, everything you need for the beach is available, small but efficient kitchen with everything one needs to prepare meals, 2 full baths w excellent water pressure in showers, beds are average but comfortable w lots of pillows and linens. Lots of quality restaurants close by, the local mini-market as perfect, also lots of adventures to book close by that were wonderful- Our host was a dream to work with. We loved our stay and hope to return!

This place is amazing. We were looking for as private as we could get and got it. There other rentals next door on both sides but they were not occupied while we were there. Pretty much house, back porch, small yard, strip of palms then beach! Very obvious the owner actually spends time in this house as the kitchen is fully equipped for what people actually need. Our 1st 10 minutes there we saw sloths, monkeys and resident yard iguanas. The monkeys tour through the beach every few days. Adorbs but also they are not scared of you. We had one come to the fence and he wasn’t messing around. I would show some caution they are not pets. Still lots of pictures. The store was a convenient walk and fairly safe but a little expensive. Only game in town. I did go 1 time without my boyfriend and was harassed a bit. Still not worse than going to 7-11 at night. Altogether great place! Pay attention to the safety precautions. This is not the US. Totally worth it.

Great spot! Kaleigh and Rolando were great hosts and very responsive. A true gem to unplug and relax. Walking distance to great local restaurants and the beach was perfect! The bigger town, Dominical is just a short 10-15 min drive but not necessary. All you need is within walking distance. Our second time in this area and will definitely be back!
