Villa Akoya, cuyo nombre proviene de la palabra japonesa para «perla», es una distintiva propiedad de alquiler de lujo frente al mar. Diseñada por el reconocido arquitecto costarricense Benjamin Garcia Saxe y construida por Gad Harel, un destacado constructor de viviendas personalizadas en Santa Teresa, la villa está decorada por Sofia Interiorismo. Combina elementos de la arquitectura tropical con acabados modernos, creando un espacio de vida de lujo excepcional.
El espacio
Ubicada en medio de la naturaleza, pero cerca de las vibrantes actividades de Santa Teresa, Villa Akoya ofrece una combinación perfecta de comodidad y belleza natural. Situada en la reconocida playa de arena blanca de Santa Teresa, la propiedad está rodeada de palmeras de coco que enmarcan impresionantes vistas del océano Pacífico de un azul intenso. Esta villa es ideal para una escapada relajante en un entorno tropical.
La villa cuenta con tres habitaciones amplias y elegantemente diseñadas, cada una con baño privado, grandes ventanales y ropa de cama y de baño de primera calidad. Todas las habitaciones están amuebladas con camas tamaño king. El alojamiento puede recibir cómodamente hasta ocho huéspedes, con tarifas ajustadas según el número de ocupantes.
La cocina y la sala de estar de concepto abierto incluyen electrodomésticos de alta gama, una amplia isla con encimera y cuatro bancos altos, y una mesa de comedor con capacidad para ocho personas. El techo elevado permite la entrada de abundante luz natural. Las puertas de vidrio de piso a techo se abren a una amplia terraza junto a una piscina resplandeciente, a pocos pasos de la playa. Este espacio exterior es perfecto para disfrutar de las impresionantes puestas de sol de Santa Teresa.
Una cerca baja de bambú garantiza privacidad sin obstruir las espectaculares vistas del océano y la playa. You simply cannot beat this location. Right on the beach, with the market and many stores within close walking distance. Milena and team were great and always communicative. Would recommend, we really enjoyed our stay!

This is a great Airbnb. I do have to be honest and not rate it a 5 star as to me 5 stars is perfection. There were several small issues during our stay. Since this is right on the beach and lots of vegetation around we constantly had crabs in the house. Almost every day we had to capture and release several crabs. Also, there were ants around the kitchen that would come out in droves if you left any food out for more than 30 min. The Wifi is very spotty. It works best in the living room and primary bedroom. Everywhere else it is spotty or doesn't work at all. I don't recall reading that the bathrooms were not air-conditioned. They were down right steamy and not refreshing or relaxing taking a shower. The shower pressure and hot water was also spotty. Since this is right next to a public easement to the beach there was constant noise and people walking by. There is decent privacy on the sides but obviously the people end up on the beach directly in front of your pool.

We loved our stay!! It is on a beautiful part of the beach and a walkable location to some really great restaurants and a couple markets. The concierge, Milena, was extremely helpful in booking activities and recommendations on things to do. She was very responsive to any questions we had about the area or our trip in general. The housekeeping was a great too. They went above and beyond expectations by helping with our laundry and even fixed a delicious pineapple plate for us. The house was kept very clean but since in is right on the beach we got an occasional hermit crab visitor inside which didn’t really bother us. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in Santa Teresa.

What an amazing house! Right on the beach and walkable to everything. The back porch and pool were amazing and the ocean was steps away from the back door. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful villa, better than in the pictures! Amazing view just outside of the backyard deck. the 3 bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful Comfortable beds and linens. You sleep surrounded by the sound of the ocean waves. Milena, the concierge, was super responsive and helpful, and had excellent recommendations for local tours that my family enjoyed. Marta (housekeeping) was also great and we felt secure with Henry taking care of security from 5 pm to 5 am. I'd come back to this house in a heart bit.

Villa Akoya is an amazing house in great location right on the beach. Very easy to walk to coffee shops and restaurants as well as a grocery store. Would definitely recommend this house and stay here again.. Milena was great host and very responsive and accommodating.. 5 star all the way around ..
