The Space

This beautiful 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom single-story home features an open-concept design and meticulously maintained gardens. It offers a private pool shared with only two other two-bedroom units, along with modern security including smart locks and keyless entry. Located just 600 steps from the picturesque Playa Junquillal beach, this property provides a peaceful retreat.

Inside, both spacious bedrooms are furnished with queen beds and share a full bathroom with a shower. The living room includes two futons that convert into double beds, accommodating additional guests. The home is fully furnished with local hardwood furniture and original artwork.

The kitchen is equipped with granite countertops and custom cabinetry, featuring a full-size stainless steel refrigerator, modern stove and oven, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, and all necessary cookware and tableware. A large covered patio extends the living space outdoors.

The bean-shaped pool includes a shallow three-foot section for children and a deeper five-foot section for adults, complete with lighting for evening swims. Outdoor amenities include lounge chairs, a covered rancho for relaxation, plenty of beach and pool towels, and an outdoor shower.

A fully equipped laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer ensures guests can keep their clothes fresh throughout their stay. The tranquil environment is often enlivened by tropical birds and visiting monkeys in nearby trees.

Additional Information

Playa Junquillal holds the Ecological Blue Flag status, awarded to the cleanest beaches in Costa Rica. The sea breeze provides fresh air, and the sound of waves creates a soothing atmosphere, making Casa Mariposa an ideal place for relaxation and family enjoyment.

The home is built with solid Spanish Mediterranean steel-reinforced concrete. It does not typically include smoke or carbon monoxide detectors. For kitchen fires, a fire extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink. Carbon monoxide is not produced in this building. This is the current safety setup and may be updated in the future.

Guest Access

Guests will receive codes for lock boxes and smart locks to access keys used throughout their stay. The smart lock codes are active only during the reservation period.

Important Notes

If traveling with small children, please be aware that the house is not baby-proofed. Parents should supervise their little ones closely.
