We live on the property and are available to assist as much or as little as you prefer. My husband, a native Costa Rican and former Monteverde naturalist guide, offers valuable advice on wildlife watching, hiking, and tours—many guests highlight this as a memorable part of their stay.

Being surrounded by living forest means small insects, including tiny “grease ants,” may occasionally appear. These insects are:

To minimize their presence:

• Essential oils are provided for window sills.
• Please store all food and cooking oil in the refrigerator.
• Wipe kitchen surfaces after use.
