The Space
This modern and private jungle retreat is nestled within 40 acres of lush tropical forest, offering spectacular views of mangroves and the ocean. It is situated less than one kilometer from one of Costa Rica's most beautiful beaches.
The main villa features a private pool, barbecue area, and a fully equipped guest house with two bedrooms. The architectural design includes a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and dining area.
The main house has three bedrooms:
- One king-size bed
- Two queen-size beds
Each bedroom has its own bathroom.
The guest house includes:
- A fully equipped kitchen and dining area
- Living room
- Two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and one with a queen-size bed
- Two full bathrooms
Both the main and guest house master bedrooms open onto private decks.
Wildlife and Nature
The property serves as a wildlife sanctuary, home to a diverse range of species including:
- Several types of toucans
- Two species of monkeys and sloths
- Macaws
- White-tailed deer
- Unique frogs such as the hourglass and red-eyed tree frog
A 2.5-acre lake on the property supports turtles, basilisk lizards, tiger-throated herons, and many other bird species. This location is ideal for guests interested in experiencing Costa Rica’s rich wildlife.
Location
The villa is located approximately two hours from San Jose’s Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). It is near three national parks:
- Manuel Antonio
- Carara
- Cangreja
Several restaurants and a market are also nearby.
The property lies about one mile from the beach. Due to a mangrove area between the villa and the shore, walking is not recommended. It is best to drive, which takes about two minutes, with parking available directly at the beach.
Guest Access and Services
Guests have exclusive access to the entire property.
To maintain safety and privacy, outside vendors—including Uber, taxis, massage therapists, and other service providers—are not permitted on-site without prior approval.
Felipe, the caretaker, lives in a small house down the hill from the villa. His residence is screened by a bamboo wall and landscaping, so guests typically will not see it. Felipe has been with the property for over 20 years and is reliable and helpful. He can provide cleaning and laundry services upon request. Please note he has two small dogs within his fenced property.
Additional Information
- There is an extra charge of $50 per night for groups exceeding six guests to include use of the guest house. If fewer than six guests wish to use the guest house, the same additional fee applies.
- Since the property does not have a precise address, guests are encouraged to download WhatsApp to receive exact location details. It is also recommended to print the written directions provided on Airbnb in case of limited phone service.
- Private transportation to and from the airport can be arranged upon request. While a car rental is highly recommended for the duration of your stay due to the property's distance from restaurants and activities, outside vendors such as taxis and Ubers are not allowed on the property without prior approval.

Rosie‘s place was beautiful and felt very private with a gate at the entrance. The infinity pool was luxurious and we used it everyday. Felipe was there everyday cleaning and making sure everything was neat. It was perfect for our group of 6 celebrating a birthday. Jaco and Manuel antonio national park were about 30 to 45 minutes away by car but it was nice and convenient. Definitely would stay again!

This house was beautiful! I never considered myself an “outdoorsy” type of gal, but the views from this home made me think otherwise. Can you imagine waking up and seeing wildlife on the other side of the glass? It was everything we imagined and more. You truly don’t understand the beauty until you experience it for yourself. You are surrounded by jungle. The outdoor shower in the master room was to die for! My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in that room. Rosie was magnificent. She was responsive, attentive, and incredibly helpful. She often responded within minutes. She recommended a transportation company. We highly recommend the driver she connected us with. His name is Alberto, we sad to say goodbye to him. His positive attitude and attention to detail made us feel safe. Then there was Felipe, who takes care of the house. He washed our clothes daily, made our beds. What a bonus. The fresh air, incredible views & wildlife. This house is worth every penny. Puro Vida!

We had a great time in this beautiful home. The garden is beautiful, perfectly maintained, and the pool is really very nice for relaxing. We also really appreciated the advice given throughout the stay, as well as the availability and responsiveness of our hosts. A big thank you also to Felipe for his efficiency and kindness. This place is magical! We loved everything about it, especially the Infiniti pool and the beautiful setting. It was close to so many great beaches and places to eat. Rosie was the best host! She was responsive and a great communicator. I highly recommend this house.

Rosie and Bruno were great hosts! Proactive in contacting us and explaining how to get to the villa. The property grounds are absolutely beautiful! Several mornings I saw scarlet macaws flying across the canopy and we had squirrel monkeys playing in the tree outside one morning. Felipe was a huge help in keeping things clean and the kids loved having their stuffed friends tucked in when we got back from our excursions. We also enjoyed the pool. Location is great for activities related to Manuel Antonio and Quepos!

We loved our stay with Rosie and Bruno! Waking up to the sounds of the birds and squirrel monkeys while perched above palm trees was like waking up in paradise every morning! The house is perfectly located between Jaco and Manuel Antonio making for easy day trips and Rosie was always so quick to respond with recommendations. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Our family of six had an amazing time with Rosie and Bruno. The house was beautiful, spacious and had all the necessary amenities for cooking and relaxing. They were so friendly and welcoming, they went out of their way to communicate, respond quickly, they had amazing local recommendations and helped us coordinate all of our desired activities for the week. Bruno took me and my girls out for surf lessons for the first time and it was amazing! They have a breathtaking property that they are very proud of, as they should be. I would definitely recommend staying with this beautiful couple. Our family definitely hopes to return in the near future.
